@@byronwingate664 I tried a watered down white first and it just didn't look good. So I thought this would be a more subtle and easier approach. AND it was! Glad you like it!! 😁

hey,great work on the mini, mind telling what brushes you prefer? That drybrush was very smooth.

@@Befferson The slightly larger brushes are artistloft I think. It came in a bundle of brushes for $8 to $15. I bought that specific one a long time ago. The smaller brush I think is a 0 or 00 and is a Winsor Newton brush from Amazon. Probably around the price of $20. I've had the winsor Newton brush for a few months and it seems to be holding it shape fairly well. Hope this helps!! 😁

Seems like a thinned Magos Purple contrast paint might get the same translucent purple effect if it was thinned with contrast medium?

I agree! I have thinned down contrast paints before and it works pretty well. I just wanted to try out something new. Also, the whole fluorescent set (6 paints) is probably the same price as 2 contrast paints lol

@@Lanessar8008 I realize most probably don't. It may be an unpopular opinion but I believe in mixing paints and improvising. There's a lot of ways to get similar results. This is just one way of doing it. 😁 I also listed some paint colors in the description that would probably work without florescent or contrast paints.

I hope Rob Zombie uses that or Gunship XD @4:42 if you told me "these are LEDs" I 100% would have believed you they look that good.

This weapon on him is OG grade you know? You don't see that weapon in the 40k time frame so, giving it purple was brilliant!
