Yeah that would be me. My mom and grandma always talked about the great food my great grandmother cooked but my grandma worked full time at a bank from 20-50, never passed any cooking onto my mom, and I grew up on rice a roni, frozen chicken, and canned veggies. Edit: Not bashing working women but family recipes are slowly dying. My grandma literally gave her mother's cooking recipes to a coworker who, "picked up the hobby" those recipes had been passed on for generations. I know there is a video/blog for about every recipe out there now but it is kind of a shame to not be able to follow family cooking down to a tee.

you cant really take the shells off when they're being cooked/resting, only before you cook it or after its done resting, which she cant do because by the time she starts peeling the skin the challenge timer ends, so what marco told her was just a warning of not to put the prawns in a soup because they still have their skin on

Matthew was robbed of a place in Finals Week. You had a pasta dish from Sara that when Marco lifted it off the plate it was still touching it even though the tip was at his forehead; a pasta dish that was too thick and tasted of broccoli. How long did they have for cooking time? And then you had a Prawn dish from Jessica that you had to peel but was served with a broth. Matthew's Lasagne was dismissed just because he had cheese in his bechamel sauce. Are you kidding me? Someone should tell Marco that Knorr is not the real thing either but he was happy to advertise for them. I enjoyed Season 7 apart from the obvious favorites that were getting through when they didn't deserve it. Thankfully Billie won, but the final should have been Matthew, Reynold and Billie, certainly not Georgia who failed in the mystery tests, the invention tests and the team challenges. The favoritism was as obvious as the "Ice Cream Man" Ben Ungerman reaching the ultimate final. Pfffffft!

Because in the restaurant industry, chef whites are equivalent to suits. He is a judge so he has to put forward a good appearance. He clearly defines himself by being a chef so it feels more natural to wear his whites. Many doctors wear their scrubs or a lab coat when they make TV appearances, it provides a level of ethos automatically. I used to wear my chef whites outside of the restaurant too when stopping at stores, either to or from work and in university chef whites were allowed in the case of a presentation by a visiting professional in which a strict business casual dress code was enforced. Sorry if that was a bit long-winded
