That first revocery guy was one of the most prepared we have seen in quite a long time. Lost the front driveline and he took it off, then lost a U-joint, nothing he could do about that THEN he collected the gas from the punctured tank and had JB Weld to patch the hole. Also, nice shirt give away Matt. Merry Christmas to all! !! !!!

I am actually surprised he didn't have spare U-joints, but I agree otherwise. I suspect the vehicles we see Matt recover are more along the lines of the unprepared, because the prepared ones figure it out. The guy in the Toyota had just run out of luck, however.

I think something for the kids waiting on a recovery would be pretty cool. Matt, I want to know where you found Lizzie? She rodeos, she welds, she dives into ice water (Nugget recovery) climbs into anything hanging off the side of a mountain, wades mud to her knees, walks 5 miles out to civilization on her own, cartwheels down mountains and is the cutest on the crew. I think she more than earns her paycheck ;) I think you should surprise her (and Rudy and Trevor) with a custom build of their own! Can hardly wait to see Ed get the Nugget back.

I am considerably impressed that they did not become distracted and cut away to the aircraft doing aerobatics. Maybe they tried but wide-angle action cameras see aircraft as flyspots on blue wallpaper if they are performing at safe altitudes. You might be more likely to hear the"boom" if the aircraft was performing in the high density altitude of summer at that landscape's elevation. Anyone flying short range high performance aircraft there would almost certainly be a local and well aware and manage their energy accordingly.

It takes a lot of work to make a cohesive story out of a jumble of video clips, and you always do an excellent job. And I especially want to congratulate you on your choice and use of music in your videos - it's never intrusive, pleasant to listen to, and geared well to the action going on in the video. I especially like your "galloping horse" music when you speed up the video action when you're traveling endless stretches of dirt trails. Keep up the good work, and the good spirits!
