I watched my sister slowly die over 3 years from leukemia. I didn't doubt for one second God would heal her and neither did she even when we saw her body deteriorating. Then one day she passes, all while I never stopped believing God would heal her. Now by God's grace my heart didn't grow cold and I understand more than I did then. Jesus didn't die to keep the physical body from deteriorating, He died to give us a brand new body that would NEVER deteriorate, and in this I rejoice knowing that my sister is resting, waiting for the day Christ comes and changes our bodies into the eternal bodies of glory. More people need to understand this because the doctrine of promised healing has ruined the faith of many. For all of us death is the GREATEST healing because we COME AWAY from the body of death, decay and disease. Lastly, I'm sure NO ONE in Heaven is saying, "God, why didn't you heal me," but rather, "God why didn't you bring me here sooner?!"

I recently left the church I was in for 7 years. Served in many ways (worship leading, youth teaching, technical staff etc.) for all this time. I loved it, and it helped me a lot in my walk. A pastor I was really close to since my conversion (he baptized me) came to lead the church 3 years ago. When I first knew him, he was clean. But he has become a Word of Faith teacher, and he ruined it all. The church is still full, but of people who only want miracles and healings. No sound teaching anymore, books to sell replaced with Johnson's lies. I doubted my own discernment for 2 years before I decided to leave. It hurt me so much, I became really suspicious of everyone, and it's been hard to join another church. There was a shift also in the songs that were put forward during worship, and I have stepped down from my ministry because of that. Some songs, that are not bad in and on itself, in the church where I go now, remind me of this pastor and just destroy my worship time. It leaves in sadness and despair. And I live in France, just so you know that it is not just an American thing...

They said because I am free in Christ i can rebuke the spirit of infirmity and find healing. My heart is sad, and I feel so hurt. When both of his kidneys failed at age 17, I would not accept that he wouldn't be healed miraculously. He has had two separate kidney transplants since then, because the first one failed, and he had to endure dialysis for a couple years. His suffering was horrible. He is now 30 years old, and I pray every day he will learn to trust God. Melissa, I thank you for covering the WOF movement. I finally had to admit that I have been caught up in this teaching, through other teachers, over the last 4 years. When you mentioned them trying to create heaven here on earth through the seven spheres of influence, the words that came to mind were, as above so below. These teachings are everywhere and it’s is easy to see it now. Keep up the great work Melissa, it is absolutely necessary.

There is God's promise in Malachi, that he rebukes the devourer for our sake, when we tithe. Is that truth, or not? Giving BREAKS Mammon's hold over us. We will either serve Mammon or God. Until a person's heart is broken by giving, that stinking Mammon controls that person. That may be what Katherine was addressing in that clip where she instructed that man to give more. And, yes, people may writhe on the ground when a demon is allowed to manifest. They did it in Jesus' day; why wouldn't they do it, now? Are we somehow too dignified, today? Once I started questioning and speaking out, I went from being loved and accepted, to being a leper. It was a very controlling, manipulative church. When someone told me they were an apostle out of nowhere , i cant help but wonder who told them that. It breaks my heart because where is the freedom. God gave us discernment to test all spirits. I recently came across your channel. The first video I watched was your response to the He Gets Us commercial during the Super Bowl. I liked your response and agree. While watching this video: 1) I was reminded of Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. And Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Yes, we are to think, question, and discern; but we must recognize there is spirit and there is soul and they are vastly different. The spirit is what is born again, the soul is not and is referred to as the carnal mind or the old man. Soul cannot necessarily be trusted. Selah. 2) It is God's will to heal every one, every time (Acts 10:38). But (presently), not every one is healed every time. Praying, "God, if it be your will, please heal me" will seldom initiate healing because it IS His will. However, there can be a difference between God's will and God's plan. And His plan often involves timing and method. Jesus healed 4 people of blindness using 3 different methods. Standing in faith for healing, seeking the timing and method is often necessary, usually difficult, and can look and sound ridiculous to others. It is thru our relationship, our communication, our communion with Jesus that the timing, method, and healing will come.

But your explanation really has helped my wife and I see what to watch for from our own new Pastor who last Sunday said how reading the Bible is bad. That reading and studying the Bible keeps you from believing in signs and wonders. The family handling the youth “walked”, on the spot. We are close, but have not got a direction just yet from the Father. I told my wife that if the Pastor connects God’s sovereignty to cash donations, we will know that he has become, (or always was), a, “the Will of God completed upon earth as it is in heaven”, BEFORE Jesus returns, kind if guy; his eschatology. He has been pounding about the Spirit gifts now for a month. I am tired of leaders who are always wrong, do not obey God’s Word - twisting what it says. We are a created being, that’s it! We are not and never will be gods. We are a created expression of His love. Thank you Melissa.

So in a sense you have to “pay”for a deliverance/healing? No no no 😢

Yes. It's all about money. They abuse the Malachi money scripture! The one meant for Israel.

I wonder what Apostle Peter would have said about this in Acts 8.... rebuking Simon the magician for thinking he could buy the Holy Spirit...

This absolutely is not always the case . Many ministries that do deliverance do it for free . And my church, nor any other word of faith churches teach that we r bringing heaven to Earth

Apostle Kathryns teachings have transformed my life. Everytime I've ever attended one of her conferences, I've walked out feeling like some baggage I came in with left. Each time there was an indescribable freedom and hope in the atmosphere. The kind of miraculous freedom and hope The Bible talks about

Melissa, you were abaolutely right about the power of words, positive confession and attitudes to healing. It has taken a long time for me to reconcile a lot of the WoF teaching I was raised with. I saw two people very near and sear to me struggle with years-long health battles which ultimately took their lives. I've been able to praise that they are in heaven, but it certainly helped challenge the notion of having enough faith. My own minor health battles have challenged it too. I would appreciate any time and effort you'd put towards further videos and study 🙏

Lazarus was poor and sick, never was healed, and the rich man was rich and healthy. Yet Lazarus entered into the kingdom, and not the rich man, it was Faith that saved Lazarus.God shines His light on both the righteous and the unrighteous, and He makes it rain on both the Righteous and unrighteous. His will be done, nothing is impossible with God.amen

That particular Lazarus preceeded Jesus' resurrection and available healing redemption. On the other hand, Jesus raised his friend Lazarus from the dead, after Jewish tradition said that he was irreversibly dead! (>3 days)

By hes stripes we are healed, and this is much better to helive then die without no hope. bigger % get healed when they actually renew their mind with bible and watch less people on youtube and belive what bible says

Thank you for standing up for truth. This movement is very dangerous and needs to be avoided all at costs. Unfortunately I speak from experience and my family was torn apart. 😢

Thankyou for explaining and breaking down the word of faith doctrine! I am in the middle of detoxing from this teaching and working towards not blaming myself for prayers that didn't get answered the way I degreed.
