@@Gilliganfrog Its "literally" not that serious, its a common figure of speech used to express an exaggerated reaction to humor. Like saying "I could die laughing".... only evolved for 2020. Because that's what language does... it evolves.
@Gilliganfrog4 жыл бұрын
@@ZiggaBIZ: there's a difference between language evolving and language deteriorating. When a statement is clearly an exaggeration for emphasis ("I could die laughing"), it is assumed to be FIGURATIVE, meaning just a figure of speech. If a statement that would normally be figurative is actually factually real, then it is LITERAL. So adding the word "literally" means this is no figure of speech. For example: "I got really scary news from the doctor today: my neurovascular health is so poor that if I sneeze or laugh too hard, I will probably have a life-threatening aneurysm. So if I'm not careful, I could LITERALLY die laughing." Using "literally" as emphasis for something that is still clearly figurative (the exact opposite of literal) is NOT an evolution of language; it is an open expression of ignorance, and a sign of either an unwillingness or an inability to learn. Now, is this your homework Larry? We know you took the car, and we know this is your homework. You're killing your father, Larry.

While this woman is very forward and confident, she's extremely careful not to cross any lines where she could be vulnerable. She won't marry up, and all the seemingly rude things she says does actually hold up in court. Like if you had an affair due to no sex, not every court will find you guilty. If you hit a woman, you won't ALWAYS be charged if there was a good reason. She's offensive and mean, but only in the very specific areas of what the court would defend. It's the no marrying up that stands out for me. She might be just as insecure as some guys who try to control their partners. Only difference is, she's smart enough to only marry down, and her method of control is using the law.
