During these times of isolation Metro is here to help our seniors stay healthy. However these classes are not just for seniors, anyone can participate. Metro Active classes are a great way to stay active. This weeks theme is Chris Brown. Try to challenge yourself but always remember to move at your own pace for safety. If you have any questions give us a call at 516-745-8050.
What is Metro Active?
An aerobics class that is safe, heart healthy, and gentle on the joints. Increase strength, balance, and the range of motion needed for daily living.
What kind of exercises?
Hand-held weights, elastic tubing, and exercise balls are utilized for resistance training. Chairs are available for seated or standing support.

Absolutely love the Gospel music. I start every morning with a devotional. To be able to then exercise praising God in music helps me to continue spending time in His presence. Thank you for sharing God’s love.

I JUST found this today and I am SUPER excited to try it! I was just asking God what new exercises I can do to combat an autoimmune condition that affects my muscles and mobility and I saw another video on chair dancing and then this!!! Thank you, Lord Jesus! Love it👌🏾💃🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾

Ian, I feel I know you…..joined you over a year ago and love every session 6 days a week. I’m 83 and healthy and some credit goes to your sessions. Keep up the good work!

i have had one knee replacement and need another. Even a lot of seated exercise is too hard for me. I LOVE your videos and I can actually work up a sweat! Love your positive energy! You are a game changer for me!

Thank you so much you actually motivated me too get out of bed and stop feeling sorry for myself and work out with you guys. I’m 326 pounds. This will be the beginning of my mornings and the end of my nights before I go to bed.

So thankful that I came across these seat exercise videos. I been exercising to them for the pass 7 months. I just love your energy and the diversity music. However, my favorite is Motown - BTW -- my favorite exercise movements are the (hand circles) and what I call (Baby Shark swims (two hands together and your like going back and forth. My thanks goes out to the entire team. I hope you bring this back in 2023. Be blessed and stay healthy and safe.

Love love love IAN whose amazing positive vibe AND his obvious experience and expertise in health and fitness, create these fun and effective home workouts. Coordination and muscle tone actually improves--and the 24-minutes for each sessions magically transforms to seconds--okay, feels like 10 minutes. THANK YOU IAN FUERTADO and team at Metro!

This was an awesome workout!!!I really needed this this! Your awesome and I always love your choice of music and I absolutely love Chris Brown!!! I have to get back to Metro for my aqua aerobics for my knees. Being unable to really work out the way I want to this was a big pick me up. Thank you so much! And keep em comin!!!!

Great workout as usual! We thank you guys so much for continuing seated exercises. You asked about suggestions for other artists a while back. Have you given any thought to doing any Paul McCartney songs? "Coming up", "Juniors farm", "Listen to what the man said", "Let them in", "Say, say, say with MJ", "Live and let die", "Hi, Hi, Hi", and "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" to suggest a few.
