Fish I can only dream of, I've only seen the odd few big salmon running in the last decade in my local river but 15 to 20 years ago I use to sit at the back of a pub by the harbour and watch dozens jumping as the tide rose closing the waterfall gap. Cool content 👌

Me personally fishing on a bobber I'll use garden worms 🪱 or anything living in or near the river ie dragon fly lavy and crickets are all good bobber baits also sprats.

Being from oregon...this video blows my mind. Those salmon are WAY different than ours. The fact that you can sit in stagnant water and JIG for those things??!?!?!?! And bobber fish for them in non moving water just shocks me.

Just my opinion, but I think you are trying to horse in those fresh fish and possibly that first first you lost might be because of ripping out the hook. If hooks are straightened out, it mostly is from horsing the fish. Again, constructive opinion. Thank you for sharing your videos.

@@pablopastor508 hooks are swapped to double 2x strong hooks. Some of the fights on bigger fish go multiple minutes. Looks shorter bc edited in a video. Tight lines 🎣

You’re right! I’ve got buddies that don’t understand letting. the fish wear itself out before coming to the net; that’s what a good drag is for! Unfortunately in most cases with jigging Fall salmon, most are hooked amongst a crowd of other boats and sometimes things get a little sketchy, so of course the quickest remedy is a tighter drag…..😂
