As an RMT member I would like to add a few points about the pay offer that haven't been talked about in the media - the 9% pay offer over 2 years is dependent upon RMT members accepting compulsory Sunday working at a reduced hourly rate & a reduced hourly rate for overtime pay - both of which significantly reduce the overall value from 9% to something well below it - they have also recently talked about capping the backpay that members will receive once the dispute is settled which would reduce the real time value of the pay offer even further.

In the probation service they kept introducing new requirements of assessment until they came up with an electronic version that took two days to complete on nffp software and hardware .these institutions are eroded from within , my concern wasn’t with the lying skeevy barstids in government it was to the press , the sub committees and the opposition but challenges are there none. I did see Mick Lynch tearing some entitled ex public schoolboy a new one in some sub committee but where did that go , where is the accountability , the government has no money of its own , it only manages our money and in schemes like this there should be a malfeasance enquiry at the very least , it’s fucking outrageous , how many millions on ppi and billions on track and trace and no one’s getting their arse kicked ? At the hand over of a large chunk of the probation service to a private company ( now failed) Failing Grayling said , the probation service has systematically failed in their supervision of short term prisoners post release , when it was pointed out to the arsehole that there is no supervision of short term prisoners post release , there were a few ahems ! So Harper is talking about 0.0001% have excepted the deal? So logically RMT should also except a pay cut? That’s what’s so good about Mick Lynch,he understands & unravels all government spin(lies!) & shows us exactly how dishonest Torys are.👍

The government is using our tax to subsidise the train companies daily! They want to cut safety checks by 50%!!! SUPPORT EVERY STRIKE!! WE ARE THE GOVERNMENT!!!!

The interruption by the interviewer at 02:30 was typical and very annoying. He was deliberately trying to block Mick Lynch pointing out yet another lie by the minister.

The major problem is this: the main stream media put out the governments tactics and policy most of which is connived. They believe it. So people like me come to NM for the truth. How do YOU get the small print’ (eg NM) out there? How does one get your balanced truth to those who are having their perceptions manipulated?
@SamHocking2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure they necessarily believe it, but there is a direct amount of political access granted to the media by the government and so unfortunately a bias in both reporting (lazy reporting just relays what the government wants said verbatim) and media will lose access if they discredit or challenge what they are reporting. It's a kind of soft dictatorship it just hides behind access rather than outright government control, but similar net result to a dictatorship imo.

Novara Media why don't you support the idea on having these meetings record or filmed? that way we will know what goes on at these meetings and show evidence on the doings on so then we won't have this 'he said or not said' it's time we start demanding evidences on what is going on here so ask Mick to release any phone records, messages. get him to film these meetings and record since this is public matters, it's our right to know what's going on. Get Mick to show us the documents & all the evidence to expose this government lies.

We need someone like Mick Lynch to lead the Labour Party. Watching Starmer this morning left me feeling very empty that he is the alternative to the Tories. Mick Lynch speaks up for the people who Starmer stays silent about. Mick Lynch is what the Labour Party should be about in 2023. Not the austerity light impression I got this morning. State of this country, I'm sure I'm not alone in having a low morale for the future in the choices that we have politically.
@deanrogers83812 жыл бұрын
Mick lynch wants sn open door immigration policy and the RMT used union cash to bring a court case against the government to try to get the Rwanda deportation flights made illegal. So no, we definitely DO NOT need him or his cronies!

Labour Primeminster Callaghan was in power during the 'winter of discontent' 1978 / 79 not Thatcher as implied! Thatcher did the damage during the miner's strike in 84/85
