Micro Minnie FLX-Winnebago QC crashes out. WTH?

Apparently Winnebago doesn’t check the settings for the FLX builds or perform real world testing. For a compact unit that MSRP’s for 60K I’d expect far better… a LOT better!

Winnebago should post the specs for these systems on their website for people to enter in to the apps and actually get the thing working the way it should. Although I am sure there is no way that anyone will ever get 5 days of use. Mine wont even run the refrigerator only for 4 days of total sunshine with invertor turned off and its all the way from 100 percent down to 12 percent. I have consistently checked all the forums, you tube and done web searches since i bought this thing a month ago trying to get the correct specs. The dealers are next to cluesless on these systems. In fact most of them have probably seriously degraded the batteries by not properly maintaining them. They need to be stored at a specific charge and if not in storage need to be fully discharged and then charged to full capacity every 2 weeks of use. Im pretty sure my dealer has no clue of this info let alone would they even care to do it, for the six months it sat on their lot. Winnebago needs to just give us the specs already!!! I feel like they dont want to because then we will know for sure that their 5 day claim is BS and their dealers have all but ruined the batteries. I hope I am wrong and I hope sometime soon I will magically stumble across the correct settings.

The xantrix system has a shutoff set at default that had our non 12v appliances shutting off in the middle of the night. We reset it to 25 hrs and now my cpap machine doesn’t cut off in the middle of the night. We also contacted Winnebago and the sent us the recommended set up and there was only one setting that was different. So we seem to have everything working right now but it’s been frustrating.

Can you be more specific about the proper flex system settings. I ran into the heat issues with the battery and my Flex may have been the first that the vent/fan solution was done on. Thanks

I have some info on the blog post. You’ll see specific Xantrex settings and I’m still waiting to hear back on the GoPower beyond changing it to Lithium (the battery AH was also wrong). My dealer is going to be at Winnebago late Sept and is going to shake down some info. So hopefully I’ll have a comprehensive list of what these bloody things are actually supposed to be set at.

Are the problems really the Winnebago factory or the dealer techs? I asked a dealer about the FLX when it was 1st announced. Well ... my dealer made it sound like _they_ mostly did the FLX "package" as dealer installed. Man, dealer installed is mixed bag of competent/incompetent techs. Add a complex solar system + inverter during it's 1st year run and no tech probably knows how to set these up, except the factory. So did Winnebago's factory really do the full FLX installs?

The systems are fully installed by Winnebago. They should be verifying they are set before they ever roll off the factory floor and they’re not. It is easy to change these via the apps, it just takes a little time and more importantly… effort.

@@speedbumpmedia9584 ok. Yeah some checklist for quality control isn't being done. Saw your blog on these configs and a tech could check this before customer delivery.

Hey I see you have the Truma app running. I haven't been able to connect to the device yet since I don't know where the Truma iNet box is to press the button. I'll see if perhaps I can get it to sync using the remote. Do you know where the Truma iNet box is since you are using the app? Thanks!

@@daletaylor430 from what I read, the truma iNet feature isn't available in the US yet, so while it's capable, the unit doesn't have the iNet box.
