The point everybody seems to forget is what the stakes are. It's not only his dad's life that is hanging on the balance. If Miguel is right and Miles saves his father, he'll die anyway when his universe colapses. Alongside his mother, his roomate, the guidance councilor, that shop clerk... He might be wrong (storytelling being what it is, it's almost certainly the case), but what if he's not? According to the infodump, Miguel tried to buck the odds before, and people died. By the billion. With stakes like that, is it even close to being the moral thing for Miles to save one person? Putting it another way, try to remember a loved person that died recently. Say, your father. Suppose you had a shot a saving him - but if you fail, your entire city goes up in a nuclear mushroom. Including your entire him and everybody else you know, including your mom, your girlfriend, your daughter... Would you try it?

Miguel is wrong because Miles is proof that if you break the canon it doesn't automatically mean the universe will collapse. Miles wasn't supposed to be Spider-Man, Peter died in his world and Miles has now been the new Spider-Man for a year and nothing has happened. Miguel just replaced himself and the universe broke, Miles became Spider-Man which led to Peter dying and created Spot that should have destroyed his universe already

He doesn’t know. He theorized. And he’s more than likely wrong because the logic wouldn’t add up. U can’t be an anomaly AND still follow natural law. That logic doesn’t make sense. If the cannon still is in order regardless of if mikes was supposed to be Spider-Man or not, then he technically wouldn’t be an anomaly. Miguel is trying to force him to follow the normal rules but as an anomaly they technically don’t apply to miles.

@@TheIcemanthomas The Cannon is in order because kingpin killed the previous spiderman, like Miguel said that wouldnt happened if he didnt try to save Miles. So Miles was an anomaly until his Spiderman die, after that he is the canon spiderman. Miguel isnt forcing anything, you can see that the canon is already doing his thing since the first movie with the death of Uncle Aaron. I have seeing a lot of people feeling supersmart saying "Oh! but if he is an anomaly he can break the canon without consecuences"... BRO, We just saw in This movie that he broke the indian spiderman canon and that universe started to crumble, he is not out of the consecuences. Just imagine if he save his dad, and his universe colapse making his dad DIE ANYWAY, Just like Dr Strange in "What if" ep. 4 xDDDDD

@@TheIcemanthomas But the spider society has seen dimensions unravelling so when Miguel was explaining it to miles he clearly said if we are lucky we can stop it , we haven't always been lucky . I think they do know how it works that's why Miguel was so pissed of at miles even after explaining everything and he still to wanted to save his father. I'm not against miles and if there was a way to save his dad without breaking the canon I'm rooting for it
