Hello everyone.
Today we make leche flan, or pudding or whatever name you call it depending where you from with Powdered Milk instead of the traditional way.
This will be the easiest leche flan you have ever made and the flavours are perfectly balanced and not too sweet like other recipes I have made here on the channel.
Using powdered milk for some reason in my opinion the option to go to as it works perfectly each time, the consistency always right each time!
You will need for this recipe of Leche Flan the following ingredients:
4 cups of water
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups of sugar
4 cups of powdered milk
Caramel:
1 cup of sugar
water
Preparation:
For the caramel combine sugar and just enough water to hydrate the sugar - the more water you add longer it will take for the caramel to turn golden
Cook in medium heat swirling a couple of times until nice and golden and to coat the sides of the mold you use.
Keep an eye on it when it just starts to change colour as from this point it can burn really quickly.
Set aside
For the flan combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until the sugar and powdered milk is fully dissolved.
Pour over the prepared caramel mold, cover with a lid or foil tightly.
Cook in medium low in Bain-maire covered for about 1 hour.
After 1 hour remove from the heat but let the flan cool down in the water to room temperature.
Refrigerate for 4 hours before serving.
