Thanks for this review, I haven't had much experience with the Aoben brand and have been looking to add a cordless ratchet to my toolbox so this really helped. I'm not a professional as evidenced by the fact that I get by fine with mostly Ryobi tools around the house so this gives me some confidence in ordering the Aoben.

Yea, if the bolt doesn't loosen at first attempt, it's good to break the bolt loose with a regular manual ratchet first, then use the electric after.

Nice review. I bought the Aoben back in Nov 2020 (just over 2 years ago). I didn't plan on using this often, so the price point was right for me. 3 comments from me based on my ownership: 1. The lock is easy to accidently hit by mistake. Looking at the Milwaukee tool, it looks like they may have designed it to avoid that. 2. The rotation switch is a pain in the ass (too small). Again, it looks like Milwaukee tried to address that. 3. I broke the collar on mine already (with what I would consider light use). I probably did put too much torque on it, but I wouldn't have expected it to fail so easily. I've contacted them for warranty info. My guess is that I'm out of luck.

What an amazing and detailed review! Very professional! I didn't knew that Amazon brand, I just bought the Matco infinium 12v 1/4", but I was about to but the Milwaukee, what leaned me to the Matco was the metal housing, and it charges really fast, and the trigger is really nice it's no just a metal flap, and most important, they had an orange color one lol, it's also rated at 30 ft lbs and a free speed of 320rpm, they are kits but I bought mine separately it turned out a little over $300, one battery, a charger and the tool

I love It, like every other cordless ratchet there are spots it doesn't fit but where it does fit works great I like the feature it has when I tighten a bolt to a stop, the tool will automatically stop, I find that very useful because I'm case I accidently can't let go the trigger it will stop I've had this problem with air ratchet to a point mi hand got caught between de ratchet and an exhaust I had to yell to my co worker to disconnect the air hose

I do have the m12 fuel combo and im on ridgids 18v platform but damn $22 for a drill,battery,charger,bits and brush kit ill keep it in the house when im too lazy to go out to the garage to get a drill

lol 179 isn't a sale. I just got the Milwaukee ratchet with a screw driver, charger and a battery yesterday for 99 dollars. Gotta get the deals especially if it's just for the house just wait for deals and don't expect Milwaukee to always be pricey lol. Great review bro. Its a great choice if you have no time to wait for a deal or need it at that moment. But keep an eye out for The deals, Milwaukee has them all the time. This year I got the Milwaukee impact and hammer drill kit that comes with a 2.0 battery and a 4.0 battery and a charger for 97 dollars. I love the Milwaukee tools especially the 5 year warranty no receipt needed. Consider all this because some of these knock offs will work for the first time but then you shelf them and they won't turn on again lol I learned the hard way. Awesome review. This is the comparison I was looking for. Originally I was looking at the Milwaukee, but just the tool alone was $179 at Homedepot as of this writing. The fact that I have to shell out $$$ for 2 batteries and charger I started looking at Amazon reviews. It looks like Aoben reviews are legit. Looking forward to using it when it arrives.

I've got lots of milwaukee 12v tools and about a dozen batteries... but I still ended up going with the Aoben. I'm sure the Milwaukee is more durable, but I couldn't beat the Aoben price ($49 w/ 2 batteries). I've had good luck with cheap chinese power tools and so far this one has been no exception. I only wish they could have a slightly smaller form as it can be bulky to use in engine bays.

It will take more torque to loosen that nut than to tighten it. Dynamic vs static torque. Try seeing how much it will torque that nut on, then take it off with the torque wrench.

Durability will be a little hard to determine, because everyone will use and treat their tools differently. But, I've been using the Aoben for over two years without any problems.

I’ve broken two of the Aoben cordless units in less than a year with very limited use. Top broke and it was under VERY VERY LIGHT use both times. I’d really avoid the Aoben unit. Can’t find parts for it either. Nice review though, can’t expect a durability review too. But this thing is junk.
