Hmmmm umpires are the biggest cry babies? They get get a fraction the amount of the big league ball players minimum salary. @@KDill29 Absolutely, however, if it's a minor infraction then an officer can choose to issue a warning at their own discretion. The same logic applies. In baseball, umps can even make the wrong call on purpose. In the past, any runners who slid into first base would be called out by the first base ump as punishment for breaking an unwritten rule.
