"He found Dutch in the urinal holding something less deadlier than a pistol." The dark-humor, east coast accent, course voice, ganster allusions, writing, vintage photos, and thorough research keeps my bell notification on. Another triumph Boss. 🖤

Changing the subject just a bit, but no gangster has a genuine New York( Big apple) accent like Profaci mobster and brother of Crazy Joe Gallo, leader of the Gallo Crew Larry Gallo .

"Dutch set up shop in Troy NY" never thought I would hear of that place in a video. It's a small town in upstate NY me and my boy used to leave Queens, stop in Harlem and set up out of town up there. I always thought it was weird that it would say "birthplace of uncle sam" on the sign entering town. I always thought Uncle Sam was a fictional character lol

Great job once again homie! Keep up the great work! Dutch Schultz is a gangster who requires reading on the subject of gangsterism during the early 20th century in New York City! He is one of the most interesting and dangerous Jewish gangsters of his time. He was also one of the most greedy, untrustworthy, racist, and murderous thugs that ever lived during that time. I highly recommend reading KILL THE DUTCHMAN by Paul Saan and Billy Bathgate by EL Doctorow.

This was a lovely nostalgic experience! Reminds me of my teens/twenties buried in libraries in the Crime section!! But you’ve got better photos!! Loved the Anastasia anime & the Mendy Weiss retouched color… I disagree that Al could’ve hurt a baby. Those men LOVED/WORSHIPPED/-ATTENDED every tiny DETAIL about children & families!! Especially in those eras! (Worse than most men & men’s Sports today!) Coming from the lowest rungs of the ladder, & from even worse slums in Europe (slums & ghettos were “new” to the USA, outside of plantation slave quarters, log shacks & reservations where 1st Nations peoples were kept impoverished. Most poverty WAS social warfare before TV, too. And people knew this. “Family” became fairly sacred in the USA, 1880-1970s among immigrants & marginalized people. MOST people’s values were different then… until TV…. TV then cellular. What I wish now is that instead of filming a bunch of pretending-to-be-someone actors, people had filmed the REAL people living in the past-once people could be filmed. Naturally the most important & powerful were ALWAYS recorded. But there’s so little trace of the ordinary people, the people in the margins, the people who had to do their own thinking!! Like these characters. Thank you for this series! 🍁💐🙏🏽⚖️🙏🏽♥️💙⚔️💐

I’ve been trying to reach you’s but I know they got the phones tapped. I made sure the sub button got whacked awhile back. So now I need to get my beak wet. You gave the skinny on Murder Inc, but the family needs the full scoop on the kid Bugs Siegel. We need the ins & outs about what really happen when he went out west.

very neat how you mentioned baby face nelson, if im not mistaken he hold the record from most law enforcement agents killed. maybe we can get a video on him within time? as i have rarely seen anyone on youtube cover him extensively. i heard he was a debt collector for Al Capone but would always kills the victims before receiving money making him quite ineffective with that particular task, though im not too sure how true that is. i know no one can give us the skinny like you do boss. keep it up you truly are unique and are doing an incredible job.

Here's a series idea: "this day in crime history"(ex: September 23rd some more notable crimes or crime history of that date in every year since 1900). Or "This year in crime history" start at 1900(crimes of that year).

I read the book KtD in the late 80s. So it has been abt 30 yrs, my memory is a little off. Thought I read VC had red hair in the book. Also thought I read "a point of law beats the kangaro court" in the book. I will take ur word bcz U hv the book. What fascinated me the most abt the book was hw easy it was 2 fix the daily number. Plse tell me, did the book say $35k was being bet every day on the #s? Otto Berman, just like Edward Teller, had a cmptr brain. What OB cud hv accomplished in science, and industry, if he used his abilities 4 good purposes? If possible, can U do a vid doing a review of the movies abt DS? Whether he was the main, or ancillary character. Give us ur opinion which was the best movie. Portrait of a Mobster, 1961. Vic Morrow as DS. Cotton Club, 1984. James Remar as DS. Billy Bathgate, 1992. Dustin Hoffman as DS. Hoodlum, 1997. Tim Roth as DS. Hit the Dutchman. Late 90s. IMO, DS was a vy interesting figure in the NY Underworld. Again, great channel, with great content. I believe a plaque was placed outside the Palace Chop House where the massacre of DS and his men took place.😊

That movie could have been a lot worse, but it wasn't very good or accurate in any way! Tim Roth was great as Dutch Schultz, but that's where the entire film ends! There hasn't been a solid film about him yet!

Interesting! The Dutch refused to help find the Lindbergh baby. I wonder if that had anything to do with the fact that Charles Lindbergh was known to be anti-Semitic. Let alone his overall, unapologetic bigotry against Black people and embracing ideas about ethnicity that Hitler himself would readily support.

According 2 the book "Kill the Dutchman," by Paul Sann, Charlie Workman, was left behind bcz of the following. The book states that CW shot DS in the bathroom, and left. However, he went back in 2 rob the DM. Again, FM the book. The underworld trial abt CM being left behind, was his own fault. It said a point of law beats the Kangaroo Court. The gunman who went in with CM said the following. I was there with the Bug when the 4 in Schultz's party were shot. That was syndicate business. However, when the Bug went back 2 rob Schultz, his accomplice told the KC this. When the Bug went back 2 rob Schultz, that was his personal business. He claimed that it was not syndicate business. So, the accomplice said he did not hv 2 wait 4 CW, bcz it was not syndicate business. So the accomplice got off the hook 4 leaving CW. I encourage everyone 2 read "Kill the Dutchman," by Paul Sann. Also, read Billy Bathgate. BB is a fictionalized version of the DS story. Boss, another great 3-part video series. Tks.😊

That is what the book says about what Mendy said, I have the book in front of me right now. The papers said that Dutch gave his money to the ambulance medic. He later turned it over to the police. Charlie said he didn’t rob Dutch . I don’t see how would have had time to. Landau and Rosenkrantz were shooting. Witnesses said they saw Kandahar and Workman shooting at each other before landau collapsed. That is why I didn’t put that in the story. Because it was unverified. Thanks for tuning in pal.💥💥💥
