As a summer, I do have mushroom and rose brown in my wardrobe. I mainly wear it on my bottom half (I'm a dark summer) and often wear it with blues, pinks, or cherry red.

As a soft summer I could definitely make it work as a neutral, however I don’t love it that much. Maybe in a handbag, a belt, or in a pair of trousers. I could combine it with many of my beautiful (pastel) base colours; light blue, periwinkle, mintgreen, sage, dusty rose, lilac. Not sure if I’ll go for it though. Depends on how much I like it when I see it in the stores.

I love that you paired it with a cornflower blue! My wedding colors were cornflower blue and chocolate brown (brown was an accent color); this was in 2009, and my in-laws were appalled, but I knew it was a classy combo even then. If I DO wear Mocha Mousse, it will be in a similar combo.

Funny that you did an episode regarding this color today. I wore the only thing I own in this mocha-ish color yesterday. They were soft leggings that I got at a ridiculous price 2 years ago. I am a winter, and I have a hard time looking at this tone in relation to myself. Trying out a different type of "neutral palette" for myself...which is something I rarely do unless it is mostly black. I pulled it off with a black shirt as an under layer with a neutral tan sweater (which blends with the golden surface tones in my face) topped with a dusty slate blue/gray fleece vest to keep warm & cool colors balanced. As I strolled through a few stores looking at clothes after my walk, I thought about pairing it with my shade of burgundy and perhaps a pop of deep pink in the future. This is a very challenging color for us in the winter palette, but as long as I keep these leggings, I will make it work for me.

I see it as a slightly pinkish brown taupe... I already own a 2nd-hand leather bag, a pair of gloves + a wool cap from Muji, some 2nd-hand wide wool trousers and a long A-line curdoroy vintage skirt from Uniqlo. I love to pair it with medium-dark colours: deep cherry red/burgundy and soft white as a cool summer could do, a deep boysenberry/reddish plum, or a forest green as a deep autumn could. For those of us who are winters with a slight touch of both ashy and golden highlights in the hair + hazel eyes, this can be flattering (you just have to stick to a balanced brown taupe, not too red, not too beige, not too gray). I avoid light analoguous outfits because it will lack the richness needed in winter colouring. You can just use it as a soft or dark neutral in small touches.

I think that every season can find a color close to the color of the year and use a similar but with the right tone. Just be inspired by it. No one will notice, it's not like the original winnercolor will be right beside you😊 So for me (summer but not sure if I'm soft or cool) it will be a slight cooler version: "hot cocoa" or a neutral/cooler version matched with my season colors. But I can see how this will effect some winters and springs.

Since you asked what we might pair Mocha Mousse with, I was thinking that, being a Deep Autumn, I would want to add some contrast by pairing it with soft white and either navy or dark chocolate brown. Even black might be interesting. To me, it's a Summer colour, and maybe a Light Spring or Soft Autumn. I think it would make for an elegant Mother of the Bride outfit (Imagine it in a satin suit, for example) Or a beautiful colour for home design or interior decorating.

I agree it’s an elegant colour and I would pair it with ivory white or cream for an even more sophisticated vibe. Wedgewood blue, salmon pink, peachy/apricot colours and chocolate browns would all look nice. I love this colour but I prefer the slightly warmer brown you showed. Nail polish colour recommendations would be Mii Fudge Cake and Mii Nude Negligee 😂. These are warm and beautiful and pair with all clothes. I think and this of course if my opinion, that this colour is a continuation of what the sort of no trend trends we have been seeing of late, people not necessarily purchasing risky trends, rather more tried and tested and economically sound purchases? Mocha mousse looks a little underwhelming and not my “cup of tea” as a dark winter and a little disappointing following this year’s Pantone colour peach fuzz which also didn’t suit many. Warm to deep autumn and I'm tanned (brown POC). My skintone is similar to J. Lo's when she's tanned or to that "cocoa" drape that you had. For me, the mocha mousse is "so-so". I can use it for bottoms & pair it with my other autumn tops (I have mustard, rust & olive green.) I wouldn't use it as a top since it would disappear on me - I need more contrast. The "coffee" drape that you had looks good on me as a top since it provides more contrast. Btw I liked your makeup here - subtle & chic. The brown eyeshadow went well with your lipstick. As an True Autumn i wouldn't go with it, is not the type of brown that i personally like, i go with richer ones to be honest , but is also how you've already said , quite sophisticated color, muted palettes would actually work the best with it! I don't like rosy ,pink on me at all. Actually pink blushes were an indicator that i am not a cool undertone. Everything Pink looks so off on me 😊

As a Winter, meh. I could make it work with a black top and honestly I think it would look fine and elegant and whatever but I can put black with anything and almost anything would be a better choice for me. I’m probably biased because this is so far from my own palette but this color already feels overdone to me. It seems like we’ve been reacting against gray for several years and this color is very much in line with the ‘Old Money’ aesthetic that I’m kind of tired of. But I guess one of the perks of being a Winter is that our colors are rarely hard to find, even when they’re not on trend.
