When I was a child, I had an old kid's book.It was titled "Gloop the Gloomy Bunyip" and he lived in a billabong. It was a favourite, he wasn't scary, just sad and lonely!!💖 from Aus🌞🌞

I think a giant carnivorous monotreme seems more plausible with a mixture of what seems to be bird and reptile features but the amphibian idea is interesting too

I really like the amphibian explanation of the Bunyip.

Fascinating video as always, I especially liked your inclusion of my reading of the Bunyip. I was curious how you would Reify it given how inconsistent descriptions of the Bunyip are, but your Reification was actually pretty solid with the various Amphibian animals we know existed in the ancient past (such as Koolasuchus, I am so glad you referenced it) and even today, such as the Axolotyl. Keep up the great work. Oh, and I recommend checking out the "Bunyip Song" if you haven't already. It's from the classic 80s "Dorothy" cartoon, a blend of 2D animation and live-action, and features a version of the Bunyip that terrified many 80s kids.

Well, thank you for your help. Its good to have another voice besides my own, and I like the effort you put into matching the tone the videos have set so far. I would like to include more people who enjoy these videos for future readings. I must confess that the Koolasuchus is exactly what inspired me. Even though it only featured briefly, the fact that this creature existed in Australia is what guided me. And thanks for the recommendation. I will look at it presently

I still think that the thing ( at least the mammalian depictions of it ) is just some kind of extinct megafauna. I’ll walk through this wildlife reserve on the way back from gym and see a random animal I’ve never even seen before .

Fun fact: Bunyip also happens to be one of the Titans to be awakened by King Ghidorah in the movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters. It was contained in Uluru (Ayers Rock).
@MoonChickenProductions5 жыл бұрын
Actually, I noticed that a lot of the titans that awaken were creatures that I have mentioned, if at least in passing.
