My wife has driven this car x 2 yrs. No problems with it at all. The front seats are very comfortable, the stereo is great, and I think the car looks pretty good. Highway gas mileage is also pretty good. The one down side is that the back seats are pretty un-comfortable for long trips; this car is really meant for 1 or 2 people.

@@nae80West nice...i have a few gripes with mine...bluetooth is delayed, tranny hard shifts in crawling speed mainly 1st to 2nd gear and the suspension makes clunky noises. Do you have any of these issues?
@nae80West4 жыл бұрын
Ray Rivera I have just had it one day and drove it to San Francisco to work last night (100 miles round trip to home). Overall it was a nice ride but I DID notice Bluetooth delay, but it works. I also noticed the lag when getting from first to second but then it takes off smoothly with no hiccups on the freeway. In town driving when I wasn’t at high speeds was great. I haven’t noticed the suspension making noise, but I will look out for that. The backup camera is strange and the entertainment display is soooooo dated even for a 2015...it’s almost like a green screen computer, but it works. Everything else is nice about it. It’s fun to drive and I really like it, I just hope it holds up on reliability like it promises..i did research before I bought it. iHow long have you had yours? Do you like it overall?

Great review! I hear so many complaints on here about this car, I have a 2013 RDX Tech and love it, my RDX has almost 60K miles and flawless. I came from a 2008 Lexus IS250, yes...different class, but the car was nothing but a headache. First, my IS was burning oil at 30K, the dealer rebuilt the engine (recall issued), window rubber moldings started to peal, Lexus replaced, among many other recalls, it was very disappointing. My Acura has been great, drives nice, very reliable and overly comfortable, it's a car that I can say I will hope to have for years. My boss has a 2011 X3 and is always in the shop, i'll stick with my Acura! :)

Great review Zack, as usual! 😊 Way back, i used to subscribe to a Vancouver newspaper just to get the Driving section on the weekends. Your competition was Tony in Victoria, who could be replaced with a bot: "Japanese good, American bad, European worse!" I see he's toned down the glaring bias in The past quarter century. So, I'm looking at a 2013 RDX, and it's 2024! But it's a low mileage west coast car, and here on the prairies, the snow, sand, and salt are brutal on cars. My wife commutes 100 kms every day, and her Jetta TDI is perfect ... in the summer. But we need AWD and a lift to cover the 9+ miles between home and the main highway in the winter. I'm an engineer who's brother and father are retired mechanics. I've bought and sold over 55 cars and do a lot of research and shopping before buying. The only Hondas we owned had a blade on the bottom and grass catcher in the rear (mowers) but I think we're going to have an Acura in the driveway soon! PS: totally unrelated, but I put a deposit on a 2024 Honda XR150L last week. We might have 2 Hondas.

Pick up one that is off lease that is still under the manufacture warranty so you can shop online for a manufacture extended warranty. As long as you keep the Eco light on you are running on 3/4 cylinders.

Hey Zack, you said this was fully loaded but it seems really bare for a $44K vehicle. Even for a premium brand. Are there memory seats, ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, heated rear seats, tri-zone climate controls, or an optional third row? Push button start, remote start, folding sideview mirrors, all four windows auto up and down, back up camera, smartphone integration including app support? Blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, forward collision mitigation, parking sensors, adaptive cruise control? Are there more than one engine choice that maybe has direct-injection, or even a turbo 4cyl for us that live at higher elevation? From this review, the vehicle doesn't seem very "modern" for a brand new 2015 model. Is this vehicle pretty much unchanged since this generation was introduced? I guess I'm having a hard time comparing this to any premium brands if the badge doesn't hold a premium...is it at least more upmarket than a Grand Cherokee, Highlander, Santa Fe, Murano, etc.? Sorry for all the questions, Acura's site doesn't list much content for the RDX which seems odd. Love your reviews!

Yea I agree for the money this Cuv is worth it ..but can't compete to Lexus RX x5 q5 so on .. But it's way cheaper than those other ones..I also think the acura it's just an ordinary brand not luxury .. I own 2015 RDX it's like a normal brand 😞

This car is made in Ohio and has a Honda Odyssey engine, FYI. Also has minimal ground clearance and AWD shuts off at 18MPH. Toyota and Nissan have better engines and AWD systems. This car has been gradually watered down by American Honda Executives e.g. cheaper tires, no exhausts, smaller rims, etc etc.

Kind of disappointed with the infotainment system of compact premium SUVs from all manufacturers. I expect more refinement and luxury when I spend $40,000. The system on the RDX would not look out of place if it was transferred to the CR-V, and the system on the Audi Q3/5 is so sparse on buttons it is laughable. This is one of the few situations where I want Acura to start copying Lexus, which I consider mediocre but is far above the rest.

What a horrible way to spend $40k. Boring transverse 3.5 V6 that probably is similar to the engine found in the 2001 TL type-s. Not much improvement in 15 years. What's the supplier of the 6 speed auto? Honda has a horrible rap for it's transmissions. The rav4 AWD starts off at $25k and gets a combined epa rating of 25mpg. That's a whole lot of cheddar for what is probably a better vehicle for all intents and purposes aside from those fake leather seats that will look like a dogs been chewing on them 10 years down the road.
