Hi everyone I hope you’re enjoying the conversations I’ve been having with the guests on the channel: if you have, my heartfelt thanks to you for giving me your attention and time: I truly am most grateful. You’ll be glad to know, however, that I’d like this channel to keep getting larger and larger. By that I mean, to be able to have the chance to speak to clever people of high integrity not just here in Malaysia but elsewhere in the region as well, as Asia grows in stature around the world. And that means The Do More Podcast channel has to be more .. influential. Which in today’s world, equates to subscriber numbers, sigh. So if you could, please take a couple of seconds to subscribe to the channel, and if you’d like to be notified of new content as well, to click on the bell icon as well. Thanks so much!!! Stay safe, be well and seize the day! Carpe Diem!! Bests .. Chuang

Great interview! Compeling us to rethink what the American Dream is actually all about and the relevance of it to people who still believe in it. Best wishes to Rachel and Mark.

Riveting episode Chuang. As a Malaysian living abroad I found this episode thought provoking. I particularly enjoyed Dan Mark eloquence, choice of work and how he described his identity. “Chinese American”. Also he makes excellent point on how Malaysia has not fully unitised its talents and potential. I think there is a level of animosity for Malaysians who chose to go abroad. In my opinion, moving abroad to foreign land is not about looking for equal right or life free from discrimination. Rather, its an opportunity to develop your talent. While there may be discrimination if you have talent and you put in your shift you will get your reward. Having been “made” in Malaysia, many who go abroad flourish. As your guests put it “Bamboo Ceiling” can be cracked if you have the talent. Unlike it Malaysia there is only so far you can go. Speaking purely from living in the antipodes. Little do people know but a Sarawakian family is one of the largest foreign land owners in New Zealand. Their ownership is as big as Singapore. Malaysians regardless of race or creed are thriving as professionals in Australia and New Zealand. Your previous guest for example is a leading academic is a very very very bright man. Our diaspora have also seeped into their politics and sports. As a society we play down our diaspora even the Prime Minister. This however is not how our neighbours view or treat their diaspora. Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines leverage their “foreign talent”. What Rachel and Dan is doing by showcasing Malaysia in their productions amongst many ways diaspora Malaysians can contribute back. The government of the day should promote and create these avenues. Thank you again Chuang for another ear candy. Keep up the honest work.
