This is where my enjoyment of this musical stopped being ironic and became genuine. The choreography absolutely makes it. I had the same experience with "The Other Side" in the greatest showman. One day I will admit to myself that I just love musicals.

For Galinda, it's because she always wants to be the center of attention, so she needs to dress herself always different than the mass For Elphaba, she was not supossed to be in the school, since she was not even matriculated before the academif year started, she just entered in the first day to help her sister, and the greatest teacher of the school perceived her potential and asked her to stay, so she did not have anything before hand to prepare for school
