Stromae is great, positive music for a sad topic! Father is so important

I read the last scene as the kid repeating the cycle of being an absent father because he just stopped trying.

Idk bro, song was about his dad who died during the Rwanda genocide. So he grew up without a father, saw kids around him who HAD fathers, and tried to emulate that. Idk where you see a cycle.

The last scene show how tired he was of trying to have a dad, he just gave up (probably once he knew the truth)

the saddest thing is that, as his father, the child will become a missing father, this is the meaning of the last image

I think it was just cool dancers, but it could also be a child’s view watching other happy families

I always thought that the first 2 duos were twin sisters and the other big and lil bro, and the kid just saw that you can be happy even without parents as long as you have a close one in your life. The other 2 duos were parent and child which looked more interesting to the kid. And in the end he just envisioned his dad to be alive and well when actually it still wasn’t the case. I till now don’t know if I’m at least somewhat close to the actual meaning, but that just shows it can be interpreted in more ways than just one. Love this song and the vid tbh.
