Great timing. Just planted one. My local garden center had them next to Miss Saori & I couldn’t leave without it! Paired with autumn frost hosta & itea. Looks stunning with the everillo carex though!

I would add that deer, at least in my area, love to eat the dormant flower buds off my oakleaf hydrangeas in winter.

We planted 3 Munchkin OL Hydrangeas late last summer in a site where an older OL had grown. They seemed to have adapted well, but this year were off to a very rocky start. Growth was poor, so I decided to prune each one down by half. The site gets good midday sun, late afternoon shadow. Soil is neutral to acidic. Thoughts?
