My 5 Likes and Dislikes for Multiversus

I was originally going to make a more in-depth early thoughts video. But I wasn't liking how it was turning out and after the second rewrite I decided to return to a formula that works. Regular lists are still being worked on. Enjoy. :)

Rollback doesn't fix bad internet, fighting games will always need a good internet connection to work.

Then I wish there was an option to play online matches with only those that have 350 MBPS download speed so I won't feel like others are dragging me down with them.

To be fair, Sky Arena is supposed to be abandoned. However, I will say it would’ve been nice to see Pearl or Connie or the Holo-Pearls sparring in the background. Or have the Beach City Beach be the SU stage.

One thing I really like about Multiversus is the labels characters get, like Beginner for easy to learn characters, or Expert for characters that need a solid understanding of the game's physics and mechanics to get the most out of. Then there's Experimental, where these characters are just being implemented and the devs pay attention to what needs to change. It's the main reason why I can't fully hate the Iron Giant.

I generally like what Multiversus had to offer, especially for the combat cause I'm surprised it doesn't have a block button but as someone that rarely blocks, I'm proud its mostly offensive especially since you can only dodge, which I think it is cool to do, tho I do look forward to what the future of this game will be like especially since it is a good F2P fighter

I have been loving Multiversus ever since the pre-open beta. The combat is fun and creative, the presentation is great, and outside of some obvious exceptions the online has been stable. My favorite characters to play as are Bugs, Batman, Shaggy, Harley, Taz, and Tom and Jerry. While the free-to-play model could be hard pass for some people, compared to other free-to-play games this feels like a huge improvement with how they treat you and your money. The music (while not as immediately catchy as Smash Bros.) is very well conducted. My favorite songs in the game are the Batcave, Sky Arena, Haunted Mansion, and all of the remixes in Tree Fort. I really don't have that much to complain that wasn't already in your video. The ability to spend in-game currency for cosmetics would be nice and the in-game store should be added either with Gizmo or sometime after him, nerf-ing Superman and The Iron Giant would and I believe will happen if enough people tell Player First Games about it along with the online stability and the saving full replays and the instant block feature. Other than that I've been loving my time with Multiversus and I can't wait to play as Gizmo this Tuesday.

Favorite thing would be all details and fanservice that has been placed in, even the small detail of all the characters telling you happy birthday when it's your actual birthday. There are things to fix, but I hope this game will succeed. More rumored characters: Raven (Teen Titans), Beetlejuice, and The wicked witch of the west (Wizard of Oz). I'm curious if they could add either Harry Potter or the Animaniacs.

In this game they're called variants. But yes I was hoping to see more echoes in Smash Ultimate such as Shadow, Bass, and Roxas.

As someone who hasn't seen the show, I have to ask why they didn't put some characters in the background like Pearl, Connie, etc. Tree Fort put the snail that's hidden in every episode along with Lady Rainicorn. Having those characters there help give it some extra life. Plus, I do get sick of basically seeing this stage almost 4 times as much as the other stages I'd rather go to.

I know this is sooo old, but there is a very subtle Amethyst cameo near the bottom left of the stage, where for a split second she can be seen if king out a donut, choosing, then grabbing and eating the donut. What sucks is that it shows up near the very beginning, and I don’t even know if the animation loops

I love the roster and i like seeing WB properties interacting with each other. But i do not like how the game feels. It feels waaaaay to floaty and there are times where theres either lag with my imputs or something. Also i never liked stat changers or perks in fighting games.

You think the soundtrack's good already? Search for the MutliVersus soundtrack and look for Warner Bros. Lot. Not only does it indicate that we might be getting the Warner Brothers themselves, the Animaniacs, but it will tickle your inner 90's kid. And it's proof that Vaudevillian ragtime music won't die anytime soon.

I think it's funny how you used the clip of Wonder Woman's segment of the DI tutorial where, for whatever reason, I just can't do it. I dunno if it's because I'm using a keyboard, because every other part of the DI tutorial works, but good lord is that disheartening.

I did that by pure accident and couldn't replicate it again no matter how hard I tried. They eventually fixed it though so you should be able to pass it now.

Honestly as someone who has not played it, I can see it being good. I might considered it if they put Ben 10 in the game. And I mean the one that is not the reboot so they can have fun with the move sets with the many different alien powers he can use.

Balancing is really difficult on characters like Iron giant, as he is mediocre on the highest level but I can see how he can be frustrating for others.
