I outline my FULL bulking diet and routine that I've used to successfully put on 25lbs in the past 2 years!
MEAL 1:
WET
* 50g Egg Whites
* 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
* 1/4 cup cashew milk
* 1/2 cup canned pumpkin
DRY
* 14g coconut flour
* 1/2tsp baking powder
* 1/2 tsp cinnamon
* 1 scoop protein (32-34g)
- evenly combine dry and wet mixtures separately
- Add your dry ingredients to your wet and combine
- Pour into a baking pan with parchment paper
- Bake at 350 for12-15 (might take up to 20 minutes)
- Top with whatever you like!
MEAL 2:
* 2 Avocados
* 1 Cup Cherry Tomatoes
* 1/2 Red Onion
* 1/4 Cup Cilantro
* 1/2 Lime (Juiced)
* 1/2 tsp Cumin
* 1/2 tsp Chili Flakes (Optional)
* 1/2 tsp Salt
- Dice up all ingredients and add to a bowl. Make sure evenly combined!
- I topped mine with steak, but feel free to add any protein you'd like.
MEAL 3:
* 8-10oz Chicken Thigh
* Lemon pepper seasoning to taste
* 1 Clove Garlic
* 1 Cup Chicken Broth
* 1/4 Cup Parsley
* 3/4 Cup Orzo
* Feta Cheese (Optional)
- Pre heat pan and sear your chicken thighs on both sides with lemon pepper seasoning (Does not need to be cooked all the way through)
- Remove chicken and add garlic clove (Mix for 1 minute)
- Add chicken stock and half your parsley
- Add Orzo and mix making sure to get all the brown on bottom of the pan
- Place chicken into broth
- Once broth hits a boil reduce to simmer and cover
- Cook for 15 minutes! Top with feta and rest of parsley and enjoy!

You shouldn't need a video to motivate yourself to workout. Just the fact of achieving a goal or just staying in shape should be enough. Just looking around at all of the out of shape people that complain about their knees hurting, their back hurting, their hips hurting should be enough to be motivated. Most people statistically stop working out in their 40s. I'm 63 and will continue to better myself until I leave the earth.
@NicklausBuiskool

@@freedomrings1420 Hey bud, thanks for the reply. You probably aren't the one to determine what other people are motivated by. Everyone is different, and throughout my life my motivation for working out has changed. Right now, at this point in my life, seeing Will have fun in the gym and cooking makes me want to get up and go do the same. How he talks about body dysmorphia and the mental challenges with how you appear to yourself really speaks to me and the challenges that I have faced. At the end of the day, it really doesn't matter what motivates someone to get into the gym right? As long as they are doing it.

I can’t tell you just how much I appreciate others in the health and fitness space talk about the mental side of bulking! One of the hardest things I ever did was start a bulk after getting a six-pack for the first time ever at 39 years old! Happy to say that I made my way back to abs at 10# heavier this past summer, and I’m looking forward to doing it again next year (even heavier yet!)

@@mikhail17 Go for it!! I found out that, for me personally, it was losing discipline for that last 27% of the week. I mean, getting 100% for 73% of the week is still a 'C' physique, and it's what I had. I cleaned up my diet a bit more, and made sure that I wasn't giving away damn near 30% of my results. In my case, Layne Norton's quote was 100% accurate: "The magic is found in the work you're [I was] trying to avoid"

I just want to be honest and grateful for one second. My training and diet have been so much better since I started watching Will‘s videos. This video really came out at the perfect time. Over the course of the past two years, my mental health completely hit rock bottom; I almost didn’t make it. I lost my motivation for everything and my physical health suffered - still recovering too. Lately, I’ve been getting back into the gym and utilizing one of your older U/L splits. I’ve been wanting to start a bulk and have been planning how I’m going to go about it, and I’m absolutely going to implement a ton from this video. What you said about the mental side of things with the number is on point. I’m still getting used to the idea again that seeing the number on the scale steadily rise is a GOOD thing. Anyway, I’ll end my rant here! 😅 Thank you for ALL of the content and knowledge you share, Will. A lot of your stuff gets me through tough days, and your recipes always hit. Keep up the bulk! I tried out the lemon pepper chicken recipe a couple times and have a few notes/suggestions for anybody looking to try it too: -I doubled the recipe because I cooked it for me and my wife; this increased simmer time by about 5 min -I substituted boneless skinless chicken breast in place of thighs; the breasts I used were around 10-12oz each, and I butterfly’d them in half to cook faster/more evenly; I imagine pounding them flatter would work also -before searing, I patted the chicken dry and coated each with melted butter using a brush (~5Tbsp of butter for everything) before seasoning -sear chicken for 3-4 min on medium-high heat on each side -simmer the orzo (covered) for about 5 min BEFORE adding the chicken back in; my first try at this recipe had the chicken slightly over cooked and the orzo slightly undercooked. Total simmer time for double the original recipe is about 20 min Definitely a recipe my wife and I both loved and is something we continue to cook on days where we’re both tired/lazy and want to whip up something fast with minimal effort. Bon appetit!

The comment you made on form breakdown to “hit a number of reps” is something I wish I realized when I was younger. Form is so important. Just look around at your local gym, you will see, always a guy, using entirely too much weight and using momentum and bad form to get the weight up. Concentrate on feeling the squeeze at the completion of a rep. I literally pause and hold the contraction. I guarantee you over the course of a year if you use lighter weight and concentrate on form and contraction you will see a massive amount of difference if you are the guy ego lifting to impress strangers at the gym.

It's weird how when I'm tracking cals I struggle to stay in a deficit because I feel hungry and get food focused....then I stop tracking and lose weight when Im not trying to

Funnily enough, I find the opposite. Can't keep a surplus unless I track, and naturally go into a deficit when I don't track.

I know the feeling of hitting that number and getting that wave of emotion (not all of it positive), but I'm so glad MOST of the emotion is positive this time. In high school I was bigger than other girls, but 150 was my top weight and I was horrified by that number. I went through cycles of ED and obsessive exercise to keep my body at what I considered a "normal" weight (125), which honestly for my body type was far too thin. I recently hit 145 on the scale after over a year of weight lifting and slowly trying to increase weight healthily, and I honestly cried. Mostly happy tears, because I got here healthily, not obsessing over calories, and not obsessing over how thin I look in the mirror. I've gained an insane amount of muscle and I'm extremely proud to finally not be obsessing over food or a number on the scale. 💪

He basicly says that everything is ok if it fits into your macro's that day (could be that that was in a different video). Why wouldnt protein pancakes be good.. they are great for diversity and especially if you crave them, just do it. Otherwise it will be too hard too soon and you fail.

I like to add an extra set on all these for a good warmup since I’ve found it to help me get mentally prepared for the workout: ( I didn’t add the extra rep to the written plan but just know that extra warm up rep is there). I’ve also added some reps to failure on some of his workouts since that has also helped me focus a lot more on activation. I would also probably add and extra day for legs and abs since that has helped me a lot with my core and more leg growth. Those are my opinions of what’s helped me get through Wills workouts since I’ve been following his stuff for almost three years now. I’ve done a lot of other workout plans on top of his to take a break and I found wills workouts to be the most effective as far as getting stronger and saving time. Appreciate you Will and all that you do. Only KZbinr to maintain his integrity by giving us free workout plans and free meals to cook.
