Glad to hear someone finally say this when every other influencer tries to push low carb down our throats. Been eating low carb high fat for awhile. I felt great and healthy, however, wasn't recovering or performing efficiently. It's just not optimal for athletes, especially high performance. completely agree with this.

If you aren't carnivore while doing so then you will find this issue because you are still causing inflammation through plants.
@fauge7

@@boguslav9502no, your body literally needs carbs to produce atp optimally. You can still perform on carnivore, but your body can't sustain the energy output. Carnivore / keto is great for weight loss, but don't expect to work out. I've been carnivore / ketovore for 10 months now and have lost 55 lbs. I trained for a strongman competition before the diet, but now I don't work out. I only work out if I have a cheat meal so I can enjoy hiking or a good lift.

For guys starting out: Day 1 - Full Body **1. Incline Dumbbell Press/Incline Smith Machine Chest Press** - Set 1: Heavy set, 4-6 reps - Set 2: Lighter back-off set, 8-10 reps - Tips: Use dumbbells for time efficiency and range of motion. Maintain technique, focusing on a controlled descent and a good stretch. **2. Barbell/Dumbbell Romanian Deadlift** - 2 sets of 8-10 reps - Tips: Keep a smooth cadence, emphasizing hip push back while maintaining hamstring tension. Consider using straps for grip support. **3. Lat Pulldown/Pull-ups** - 2 sets of 10-12 reps (1st set: overhand middle grip, 2nd set: underhand close grip) - *Overhead Curls (after 2nd set for biceps)* - Tips: Vary grips for diverse lat engagement. Use straps for optimal lat activation. Finish with overhead curls for extra bicep work. **4. Dumbbell Step Up** - 1 set of 8-10 reps per leg - Tips: Isolate the working leg, minimize cheating with the back leg. Maintain tension, consider using straps. **5. Overhead Cable Tricep Extension with rope** - 1 set of 12-15 reps - *Drop set (decrease weight by 30-40%) to failure* - Tips: Prioritize overhead extensions for variety and growth. Maintain consistent tension on triceps. **6. Dumbbell Lateral Raise** - 1 set of 12-15 reps - *Drop set (decrease weight by 30-40%) to failure* - Tips: Utilize a larger range of motion for lateral delt activation. Use straps for a better mind-muscle connection. **7. Standing Calf Raises** - 1 set of 12-15 reps - *Drop set (decrease weight by 30-40%) to failure* - Tips: Focus on controlled movement, avoid bouncing during drop set reps. Day 2 - Full Body **1. Smith Machine Squat/Hack Squat/Barbell Back Squat** - Set 1: Heavy set, 4-6 reps - Set 2: Lighter back-off set, 8-10 reps - Tips: Optimize warm-up with fewer sets. Focus on deep range of motion and controlled form. **2. Seated High Incline Smith Machine Shoulder Press/Seated Dumbbell Shoulder Press** - 2 sets (antagonistic superset with T-Bar Row) - Tips: Emphasize delt involvement with a higher incline. Supersetting optimizes time and muscle engagement. **3. T-Bar Row/Chest Supported Dumbbell Row** - 2 sets (antagonistic superset with High Incline Smith Machine Press) - Tips: Perform sets with different grips for varied back muscle engagement. Rest briefly between supersets. **4. Seated Hamstring Curl/Lying Hamstring Curl** - 1 set of 10-12 reps - *Drop set (decrease weight by 30-40%) to failure* - Tips: Emphasize seated variation for hamstring activation. Use a drop set to maximize tension without cheating. **5. Dumbbell Curl** - 1 set of 12-15 reps per arm - *Maya reps (short rest, 4 reps each time, until failure)* - Tips: Prioritize perfect form, using Maya reps for high-tension bicep work. **6. Cable Crunches/Normal Crunches** - 1 set of 12-15 reps - *Double drop set (decrease weight by 30-40% twice) to failure* - Tips: Maintain core engagement and control during cable crunches. Use a double drop set for intense ab engagement. Not a perfect routine but for complete beginners or people that don't have much time to workout then give it a try

Jane Brody, a retired nutritionist that used to write columns for the New York Times, had a cookbook that my mom gave me called Living the high carbohydrate way. She turned me on to buckwheat. I never eschewed carbs until later in life. Then I did the keto thing. Yup it was great, dropped some weight felt great, but one thing I learned, for me, there is no straddling keto and nonketo. I had to commit to clean keto. Once I stopped the weight skyrocketed. Went back to moderate carbs and low-fat and I’m just fine. Older now, but my performance was always subpar on low/no carb. My only mantra now is I don’t eat anything in the evenings. Period. Alls good.

Been on keto for 2 weeks. Net carbs around 30g/day. I'm 47kg for 170cm. I was feeling good the first week, then keto flu came. My legs feel weak, I can barely walk or lift my own backpack of a few kgs (I didnt start keto for weight but to see if I could get more energy and to support my partner on their weight loss). Now I can barely sleep, have cramps at night. It's horrible, I dont think I can handle much longer, because I feel so weak! I wanted to push through this so much but its becoming so difficult! So I decided to add half a fruit (whatever fruit, I live on an island so I take what's in the garden) at the end of my lunch from today on. Well see if it gets better. At least now I'm stopping all shit sugar like bread, white rice/pastas etc... I'm drinking more water too! On a side note, all my blood work was perfectly fine before and I was feeling great on high carbs, I just hated the crash after eating occasional cake, and still felt like I was sometimes abusing sugar (nutella crepes, etc) but usually I could intermittent fast easily and not get cravings very often (only the 2 weeks before my periods). I think I might be LMHR, because when I tried keto about 2 months ago for 3 weeks, shit went wrong too, and I started having very low tension (86/54), I didnt drink many electrolytes... that was my mistake. So I went to the doctor for a blood test and my LDL went super high compared to usually, HDL too and tryglycerides stayed low. (0.61mmol/L, HDL 2.06mmmol/L, LDL 5.46mmol/L) A1C at 5%. Fasting blood sugar 0.79g/L or 4.36mmol/L. But yes it's hard to find information for people who are lean and want to start keto! Maybe I should look better arround. Thank you for your video, at least I can see that there's other options and we dont all conform to one diet!! Thank you to the comments who are also so kind!

Do you have any suggestions about "heel plantar fasciitis." I had to stop cycling. I've tried stretching, shoe inserts etc.... Plus, I don't want to go to a doctor.
@JeDindk
@JeDindk 3 ай бұрын
I had it too, but cured it myself .... shoes off. Get up on your toes, roll back and get up on your heels .... simply go back and forth like that for 2-3 minutes. I think I did it 3-4 times a day. It will help with the pain immediately, and the plantar fasciitis will disappear relatively quickly. Maybe 7-8 days. And after that, every time you feel a bit of pain, you do it again for 1 or 2 minutes. It's very simple, but it worked very well for me. We are all different and I can't guarantee it'll work for you, but I hope you'll give it a go. Good luck.

I hate high carb and low carb diets. I prefer a balance. I weigh 155, and I get about 200 grams of carbs every day and about 75 grams of fat every day. I tried low carb (under 50) and was miserable. I tried low fat (under 30), and was always hungry. The balance really helps me feel good and doesn’t hinder my gym performance.
