I don't understand why people think it is a good idea to try and find the OPs of stories. A person is looking for some kind of advice, not for someone to creep into their lives. But I guess too many people have nothing better to do with their lonely lives.

Back in the day when I actually used to creep Reddit I'd go into Op's history and look around. It was never to try and "Find them". Just to see if there was other information that would fill in gaps or something that changed the story. From the sounds of it though, it seems like it was a typical Reddit "This sounds similar to a movie plot I don't remember or understand so it must be fake. So I'll demand personal info from Op to prove to me this is real because I'm a professional Reddit detective!"

Sometimes a story sounds suspicious, and people will check the post history to confirm details, not to try to find the OP. I get notifications on An I the Angel where people discuss obviously fake posts. One story the person was claiming to be a man in his 20s, with expensive furniture (I think a $2000 lamp was mentioned in the story), so people looked at the previous postings. Turned out the OP in other posts said he was 16 years old. I have to admit, I was suspicious when OP claimed to have changed genders. The only way I can see that working with the nature of the story is with the sister. I can't imagine any jobs caring if someone posts on Reddit that their SIL was in live with their husband.

Older bio brother who moved to another country permanently, you have to wonder if he had no choice to with Tina’s behaviors as a kid and wasn’t heard by their parents, who literally admitted they thought she just had a crush on OP’s husband (which shouldn’t be tolerable in itself) but only realized when things escalated. Their older bio brother probably had the same experiences, but less severe so their parents didn’t think anything of it and let it go on. Probably to the point the brother had to leave However, that’s just a theory, cause we don’t actually know why he moved permanently away to another country

@tifadreamers
@tifadreamers Жыл бұрын
@@zerobolt9506 that's a terrifying theory to think about but I agree, there might be a silverlining between why the oldest moved away and went LC/NC and how a child that age could have thought to be intimate with him. when I first reading the post, I initially thought that this obsession may have stemmed from her teenage infatuation, or if she stumbled across an incest dark romance in her teen years and projected it to her relationship with OP's husband. But then OP said she asked that on the age of 11, while Sean, the oldest brother left when she was 10....that got me a lot of thinking. If Sean did have something to do with it or if this obsession grew from the trauma caused by Sean mistreating her, then this problem is deeply rooted than it looks. probably one of the reasons why she hasn't recovered even after going to therapy. she wouldn't be able to grow past it if she hasn't been forced to deal or open up that trauma

Completely agree! I wonder what started all her obsessive behaviors with her brothers... like what in the actual f**k! Not just 1brother, but 2 of them! Why was she never interested in boys from school, or just other boys in general!? I'm assuming she knows she's adopted, so is that how she's rationalized being sexually attracted to her f**kin BROTHERS! 😵‍💫😵 I have 3 stepbrothers, they came into my life when I was 14, they were 15 and 13 (we're all in our mid-30s now). I have NEVER thought of them in any way other than brother and sister. Their dad raised me, my father died when I was young. Even when our parents first started dating, I saw them as siblings. All my girlfriends thought my older brother was "so hot", and sure he's a handsome dude, but ew 😂 he's my brother! That's how normal people think, that's how a normal functioning brain works. People who are right in the head are not attracted to their siblings, blood related or not, it's just not ok! So, you really do have to wonder what happened to that girl in her childhood that distorted her view of family and made her think it was acceptable to have sexual feelings for her freakin brothers! She needs to be locked up in a padded room and kept away from her family and OP's family, because I only see this ending in one way if not. Her complete disregard for her SIL and the children is disturbing, and quite frankly, frightening. I'd keep a gun in arm's reach at all times.

Can you imagine being around all that testosterone! I moved into the outdoor kitchen (our parents turned it into a studio-like apartment for me) when I was 16 bcuz I was so ready to kill the 2 oldest boys! Brothers are so gross! Me and the oldest would fight for the bathroom every morning, so my parents were like yall sister needs her own space or she's gonna bury her brother in the backyard one day 😂 This is a sibling relationship, not how Tina thinks... If something is not done about sister in law soon, things will escalate. 1. She could try to kill the husband (if I can't have him, then no one can. 2. She could try to kill op to get her out of the way. 3. She could try to cause op to miss carry (though I suspect the stress of dealing with sister in law could have had a hand in the previous miscarriages) so it would cause a rift or for husband to leave op and she would be there to "comfort" him. 4. She could go after the children in order to sever the link between husband and op in her mind. Hopefully, these things may not happen, but you here some crazy things in these posts, so op and husband need to be cautious.

Story 1, NTA. The fact she threw a MASSIVE tantrum that her brother wasn't coming back to their group and actually took their card keys to lock everyone out because she was upset is beyond childish and a red flag. Then the house warming party she completely ignored op, wore a sexy outfit and tried to get her brother's attention plus touching inappropriately. She didn't even care that he was, visibly might I add, uncomfortable with her. Also, the way she talks about him, also sounds like complaining, definitely tells that she's in love with him and hates that he chose op over her. Definitely not surprised that she got really upset that her brother proposed to op and ran off to the bathroom. She can't take that she can't have him and that he loves op. I'm betting she can't have healthy relationships because she's so hooked up on her brother. Why am I not surprised that she had a breakdown plus skipped out on the wedding as well as every event that they attended. Yep, by texting those things to him definitely shows that she's not over him and still hates op for "stealing" her brother from her. I'm with op, she's going to try to ruin the day because she hates op for having her brother and I'm betting the "boyfriend" is just to show that she's okay when she hasn't changed at all. The fact he's not doing good, left work early and his phone is blowing up, I would say it's not good. Definitely agree with the comments that hubby NEEDS to deal with her NOW and that she's a danger to op and the kids. Update, not surprised that when her brother didn't respond she kept insulting op and the kids. Good on him for finally telling her off and blocking her. I bet she didn't expect that and probably will go into a frenzy. To "surprise" him? More like jump him and try to get with him. The family was probably hoping she got better only to see she hasn't changed at all and still hates op. FIL is awesome for keeping her in check and trying to get treatment for her. She's probably not going to take well to the rejections and getting talked to by the family about her issues. I hope they get her the help she needs and make sure the treatment sticks.

I think the parents make a huge mistake when they knew she was writing journals about him to not read those journals and to not put distance between the two and get her inpatient treatment. Instead she had YEARS to build on her obsession and whatever fantasy she had going on in her mind and that may not be reversible at this point.

Hubby clearly took the role of the ‘favourite person’ (idolised person [Tina] is possessive over) from the older brother in Tina’s eyes. A very volatile manifestation of this. This isn’t a pattern that is likely to change. Specially because of how long this has been and how he was there in the formative years. It wasn’t fair on Hubby to be made responsible for Tina’s emotions, and it’s 100% healthier for both of them to not interact. Poor OP, poor Hubby, and hopefully Tina can improve from this… but it ain’t likely.

I do find it sad that some people in the comments are immediately assuming Sean did something to Tina when they were kid without any info about Sean or why he left and stayed gone. If anything based off Tina's behavior and the info OP gave it seems far more likely that Tina was the one possibly harassing Sean. If we think about it under the assumption that Sean did do something to Tina why did he leave and cut contact with his family and "victim"? As far as we know Tina never made accusations that he did anything, so if he was a P-word why would he leave such a "sweet deal" behind? Also if he had done something wouldn't Tina have said something by now? Since people in the comments were theorizing Sean did something and Hubby "saved" her wouldn't Hubby know? Wouldn't she at some point say "You saved me from Sean, that proves you love me, and we should be together." I just can't really imagine a P-word willingly leaving their victim. Maybe the parents knew and forced him out? But then wouldn't they have mentioned it. Even if they didn't out right say what he did would they have not said "Sean did something bad, and he's no longer part of the family." To me it seems far more likely that Sean wasn't exactly on board with have 3 new siblings at the age of 8-9. Considering it can be difficult to integrate 1 bio-kid with that big of a age difference. You throw in him being the oldest, most likely having babysit them, or drive them around when he got older, then on top of all that Tina's concerning behavior, and it's no wonder why the left. Finally I would just like to point out that if Tina was inappropriate towards Sean, what adult is really going to believe that a 10 year-old little girl is the aggressor, and that the 18 year-old man is the victim? Especially 10+ years ago, no shot many if any adults are going to believe Sean didn't somehow encourage this from Tina.

For me it's really weird that he left to a different country just before he could be tried as an adult and never came back. Why no other sibling was sent to study abroad? Maybe he was the one that showed her to "kiss and cuddle" (we don't know since which age), so for her was a normal thing to ask the other brother, when the first one was no longer around. And the trauma of being abused is what made her so mentally unstable, and to think that having that sort of relationship with a brother is ok.

This is purely speculation. I think a reason why Sean has left lies in the reaction of the parents. They continuously downplayed it. Seems like sean got the brunt of it for years. She probably made passes at him and made him uncomfortable because of their sibling relationship, but also because he was so much older. The parents were no support system responding with just a little crush to all the unhinged obsessive behavior. He probably thought the only way to escape was to leave like that. I know it must be disturbing for the parents to think about, but they were knowingly turning a blind eye. They were very dismissive of her behaviors with OP's husband, so I have a strong feeling that they did not help Sean at all. Also it must be hard to conceptualize a child exhibiting unbalanced predatory behaviors. Following you around for years. Let alone it be your little sibling, and your parents provide no protection. I can't blame him for escaping.

yeah, I don't get all the people saying Sean abused Tina. I don't get that. If that happened it would have come out a long time ago due to Tina's instability and the fact she has been in, and out of, treatment for years. Poor Sean cut, and ran, when he had to opportunity to. I am sure his father knew about Tina's inappropriate behavior back then and the father protected Tina instead of dealing with the issues. Like OP said, if her husband had had an inappropriate relationship with Tina it would have come out as Tina would have been throwing it around. If Sean had abused Tina it would have come out because Tina would have been screaming about it.

@@philwill0123 Or Tina was abused before her adoption, and those feelings just transferred from Sean to OP's husband. OP did say she changed ages and some other details, so it's not exactly clear how old Tina was when she was adopted. Either way, Tina clearly has very deep mental health issues, and her fixation on older brother figures is indicative of some level of unhealthy attachment and childhood trauma. However, that doesn't necessarily mean Sean or OP's Husband were the perpetrators. I wouldn't be surprised if Tina also tried to incessantly contact Sean until he cut the family off for never doing anything about it until it was too late. I really hope Tina gets the help that she needs! Unfortunately, I still think the parents aren't doing enough. Sending her to treatment facilities may just compound her trauma and delusions. There was another update: I've been going back and forth on whether I should post an update. Many of you posted supportive feedback and some were kind enough to share their experiences with obsessive persons and how I should handle my situation so it helped me write this update. I included Tina's initial texts after we changed our phone numbers. We were receiving calls from her on our house phone from her work number but we disconnected it once we found out it was her. I wasn't sure how to organize my thoughts on this post, but I think it will be easier to give an update by listing each person involved. Again, I had to alter some information because of my career and the fear of being doxed. Tina- It's been quiet for a few weeks because Tina is currently receiving treatment. At first, I thought it was going to be messy because she found out my husband's new number and texted him several times (attached). He ignored the texts and blocked her. Her reaction to this rejection caused issues for her (losing her job, relationship, etc.), but ultimately, she is getting help now and I hope this time she can heal from whatever it is that is keeping her from living a happy life. Sean- Many people speculated that my husband or Sean did something to Tina that caused her obsessive behavior. First, I thought Sean was my husband's biological brother. This was my assumption because he looks like their father in the pictures I've seen in family photo albums and my husband never referred to any of his siblings as "the adopted one," which I love, but it has caused some confusion on my end because only two of them stand out from the others. This is important to mention because it explains Sean's departure from the family. Sean left after high school because he found his birth family in his native country. He searched for his birth parents all senior year of high school and found older siblings. His parents are deceased, but he started visiting his siblings while studying abroad. He became heavily involved with their religion and customs. After college, he cut ties with my husband and his whole family. My in-laws received a few postcards at first, but they haven't had any contact with him in several years. I can't say definitively whether I believe something happened between Sean and Tina, but his departure makes sense and I can only hope nothing happened. My husband- Again, I want to make it 1000% clear that there's no doubt in my mind that my husband never aided in Tina's obsession. Those who are doubtful, I get it, but respectfully, I trust my husband implicitly. Me- I feel like a weight has been lifted (even if temporarily). My baby shower was amazing and knowing she was far away getting help allowed me to fully enjoy my friends and family. I'm looking forward to meeting our baby and I hope we have peace from this situation for a long time to come.

That final update about the other eldest brother made me think maybe he acted on the adoptive little sister's crush and then just fled and never came back to avoid it all. And the adoptive sister transfered everything to the other brother to cope. She needs a therapist that will force her to dig deep and let go. I hope it's not this or something worse like the adoptive father or anyone else having groomed and molested her as a child. Unfortunately the nature and endurance of her mental problems seemed to indicate this. There was a similar story, except the girl was bio-sister and OP was only dating one of the brothers. Turned out dad, uncle, and 10+ years older brother and 2 male cousins were touching her and the brother OP was dating was completely unaware until OP and her boyfriend tried to address the sister's obsession with him and escalating jealousy towards OP. Mom was in denial until the innocent brother got the lot of incestuous pedos arrested. Victim sister was sent to live with maternal grandmother and therapy. Boyfriend moved in with OP's parents even though OP lived elsewhere with roommates. Mom moved in with her grandparents in a different state with the two younger minor sons. Pedo group went to prison.

I know OP's husband is not responsible for Tina's feelings, but he's responsible for drawing some goddamn boundaries! Like not letting her hang of him, smooching him on the cheek etc. He's not "ignoring" her, he's enabling her.

Also wondering if it's possible that Sean abused Tina when she was younger. There could also be other abuse that has occurred with other family members (such as FIL) that could have fucked her up. It's really suspicious how they have a large family with adoptive children and poor relations between several of them.

I have 2 adopted brothers I've never looked at them as anything but my big brother and my younger brother. My oldest brother was a senior when he was adopted and i was like 3 he treated my like his practice kid and spoiled me rotten. My little brother was 16 (6 months younger than me) when he was adopted and I knew him 3 years prior due to him being my cousin's best friend and them shareing a birthday. Not once have any of us ever tried to pull crap like story 1 and they have been siblings since birth.

I’m so confused! How is it that the comment section are finding ways to make the husband seem complacent and/or the a-hole. I mean how much more obvious can you make it that you don’t want someone then saying no or… *checks notes* oh, LITERALLY PROPOSING TO AND MARRYING SOMEONE ELSE IN FRONT OF EVERYONE YOU KNOW THAT WOULD SHOW UP!? “He needs to put his foot down and make it clear” naw, bro’s foot is so far don the floor is cracking under the immense pressure. SHE (the Sister in Law) is responsible for her behavior and the way she deals with this. SiL is the one being weird, creepy, and obsessive over someone who isn’t into her. Husband not being a total jerk about it doesn’t make him complacent. Just like how women sometimes feel corned by a weirdo who won’t take no for an answer me feel that too. Because that’s what’s going on here; SiL wouldn’t take no as an answer.

Our minds gravitate to the theories you mentioned since it would tie together the story with this additional tid bit of info about Sean. But that extra info very well may have nothing to do with anything.

I think something happened with Sean too. My gut feeling is he’s hiding from something he did to be gone for 20 years (I’m guessing based on ages), never to visit or have any contact, and the family doesn’t know where he is. It may be a no contact because family sucks situation, but this feels like something else.

@@pigalottafattenton5003I wonder if he was sent away because they caught him molesting Tina. The way they rug sweep her issues and he hasn't come back home is suspicious. Also he left when she was 10 and she started asking to kiss and cuddle op's hubby within a year of that. Having a crush is one thing. Requesting physical/sexual contact can be a hallmark of past sexual abuse in a child.

Wow, what a crazy story! Tina is totaly insane! Even if siblings know that one or both of them are adopted, being that obsessed with your brother is NOT OKAY. Especially since OPs husband only sees Tina as his sister. And Tina mocking her brothers wife and children makes it even worse. It is one thing if a 5 years old girl says: "I had a dream that I got married with my big brother and I had a pink wedding dress." and a few days later the dream is more or less forgotten. That kind of situation is somewhat normal in my mind. But if an adult woman wants to get married to her older brother, that's not normal at all! And I understand wanting to make sure that your siblings future spouse is a good person and not some violent drug dealer. But come on! Saying things like: "But you said you never wanted to get married or have children!". What if I changed my mind?

I think, in her own sick way, SIL was trying to actually be an even closer member of adoptive family. She knows she's adopted and doesn't feel like she belongs so she wants one of the brothers to marry her to bond her to the family even more. She is seriously disturbed.

I'm definitely wondering what's Sean's side of the story since it's mentioned she had a crush on him before the husband and from the sound of it is no contact with the family, I know it could just be a coincidence but it definitely sounds like he's no contact because the sister was like that with him too and the family enabled it there too. Also, yes what she did was gross, but I still feel kind of bad for her, the parents let her down since this has been going on her entire life and it wasn't dealt with properly, just enabled.

As a young mom i made friends with another woman my age. She was a soldier. I had 2 young kids at the time. 1st she got obsessed with my kids. In a super creepy way. Like she wanted to take over as mommy. Hubs and i had invited her over and we went to church together several times b4 this. Then she became obsessed with me. She got her hair cut like mine. Then got the same triple ear piercings and cartilage piercing i had. She got glasses like mine. Started dressing like me. Got the same hair cut. Then started asking if she could pick up the kids at school. She started stocking me and the kids. When i asked her to back off she went crazy! She would call in the middle of the night just to scream at me. We got her to back off when i threatened to call the cops. I gave the schools her picture and put her on the do not allow near my kids lisT, UNTIL THEY STARTED HIGHSCHOOL. The kids were heartbroken to lose her. I had to explain in age appropriate terms that her mind was sick and she was dangerous and they could NEVER see her or go anywhere with her again, even if she said i told her it was ok.

I am curious how this Tina became like that, OP said her husband and his other siblings were all adopted when they were babies, so they grew up seeing each other as real siblings, so I wonder how did Tina develop this kind of obsession with her brother and what trauma did she experience? She needs to be checked in a mental institution.

DAMN! I agree with whoever said that she's dangerous! OP and her husband NEED to keep their guards up and keep a close watch over their children until she's either locked away for good, or pushing up daisies! Because creepy stalkers may be guilty for a lot of things, but being quitters is NOT one of them! And now that the family has (thankfully) woken up and doing something about it, she's at an INCREDIBLY high risk of going into the mindset of "If I can't have him, then nobody can!" Although, if I were OP, I would chastise and criticized the husbands parents for not nipping this in the butt years ago! I'd tell them that "The fact that your eldest son left for Europe for college and never came back home should have told you something! Haven't you two ever stop to wonder WHY is it that he hasn't been home, or exactly how far Tina took her so-called "crush" on him?!😡 THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE FIRST MAJOR RED FLAG FOR YOU TWO!!!"

Maybe Sean went NC when he told the parents and they probably brushed it off. He might've had an incident with Tina that could've landed him in prison behind one of her stunts. It just seems like he was rattled to the point of going NC just to let go of anything that might bring him into contact with her and their enabling.

Tina's obessessed with OP's hubby. I wouldn't want her there either. She probably thinks "Well we're not technically siblings so we can be together and will be" which is just disgusting. Thing is this new "boyfriend" is her way of trying to make her brother jealous then possibly have the poor thing propose to her or something to take away from the OP's moment. Yeah she needs to be blocked, denied access to the house as well as OP and her children. That wall of paragraphs should be screenshot shared amongst the family and told she's over stepped this boundary for the last time. She's was lucky enough to be considered family before now. Now she's considered dead. She's not nor will she ever be welcomed to their home and life. That OP's hubby is happily married and completely committed to his family and marriage. So any attempts at breaking them up for her delusions will be met with the cops being called. This hill? Yeah not only would I be dying for it. I'd be fighting to keep it that way to my dying breath. To the person trying to out OP on Reddit you suck. She was being tortured, abused, assaulted verbally, had her husband stalked by this psycho and you want to have her charged for that? OP needs validation that this wackadoodle isn't safe to be around and was given resounding support. Makes me think this person is Tina or is someone like her. I believe he never touched her. She for sure would've loved rubbing that in OP's face. He always saw her as family while she saw him as an object. Disgusting.

I'm wondering if Sean had an inappropriate relationship with Tina. That doesn't change the fact that Tina needs better mental help cause what she's doing isn't working. But being molested gives you weird ideas of what love is and how to show affection. Might be the start point is what I'm saying

OMG! I have a theory why SIL acts like this. I think she was molested by OB in her childhood. Because think about it, OB left the country to never return and she, being used to it, thinks that everything that happened is normal and seeks that closeness with her other brother. I hope that in the name of Arceus I am making a mistake. 😢

I feel dumb, but I just figured out that SIL is an adopted daughter from birth. I am adopted from birth and this is unusual disturbing behavior. Something is definitely wrong with this woman. Could it be that the older brother was sent overseas for inappropriate behavior with the SIL? Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but this did start somewhere and a request for cuddling and kissing at 10 seems like something is up. The older brother did leave right around that time that the younger brother became the next love focus. Either way, definitely she is an avoid and needs a security alarm. Also a well trained dog that listens to you and your family.
