I like your way of presenting information to the average fisherman like myself. keep it up with your content. To be honest , I want to fish, but feel a little reluctant. I know I'll get through it but ground zero is a hard place to be. The adventure of wild goose chase and paradise is ahead. I am going to embrace both...PS I do have fishing knowledge and success , It's just in the Midwest....

Great stuff as always Rick! A few questions for you….1, how about beaching the fish? Seems most do but is that the best for the fish if it’s wild and if you just want to release the fish? 2, seems to me you need weight to cast the Wicked Lure Spinners….egg weight? How much if so? Also, to be able to swing the spinner in the current don’t you need a beach where there is hardly anyone around you? I think I know where you at in these vids, up island some from Bush as I see know one around as most dislike the walk to the beach. Cheers Bro. Happy September

Thanks man for watching and the support! For your first question on beaching fish, I definitely would keep it in mind to where you are at with hatchery only and releasing wilds. I try to do my best and spot the fun before beaching. But when not possible I try to keep the fish in the water and not drag on the beach. If just releasing them I wade out to tail the fish and make for an easier land. Yes for your second question wickeds do need weight to cast. An egg weight will work, I prefer the in-line float weights as they have built in swivels for line twist. Can get it done with a 1/2oz-3/4oz egg sinker though and a bead to a swivel. I try to get away from the crowds to swing the wickeds. I don’t mind the walk :) Just have to see how the people feel, if in a crowd I usually ask. Best of luck here in September man!

I love your videos, thanks for sharing with us. I’ve tried this type of fishing and every cast I’m getting all the kelp and grass out there. Honestly, I’ve stopped beach fishing because it’s beyond annoying. Am I doing something wrong? I’d love to get back on a beach and fish

Sometimes that is a part of fishing the beach. Some beaches are worse than others and some have less at different times of the tide. I’ve found that if I have the dual lock swivel up the line, that helps with keeping some weeds off the rigs. But not everything is perfect. I would say just keep trying and maybe changing the time of the tide can help

Absolutely!! Sometimes I put just enough reel to pull the float towards me and almost swing the presentation across the current. And even sometimes get good hits at the end of the drift reeling back

Been very good out of the boat. Beach fishing has been hit or miss as we need rain to get the fish really moving. But I will say locally I have seen more moving in the last week off the beach from earlier in the month. Definitely any day with a little rain it’s going to pull the horde from the coast
