Thank you very much. I read about it but was not sure about certain things. You have clarified these for me. I want to ask how many times do you do the first step, breathing in and out from the same nostril, before you do the alternate nostril breathing?

You can do it 10-12 times each sides for 3-5 rounds before starting with alternate nostril breathing

In such cases, you can place the first two fingers ( index finger and middle finger) on your forehead/eye brow centre, on Ajna Chakra (The Third Eye Chakra). Close right nostril with thumb and left nostril with last two fingers (pinky and ring)

Namaste Praveen Kumar Ji Usually, Alternate nostril breathing, Nadi Shodhan and Anuloma Viloma are considered to be same. But there are few Schools of Yoga which makes a very subtle difference between Nadi Shodhan and Anuloma Viloma. In Nadi Shodhan we clean the Nadis which is like a preparation for Anuloma Viloma. Also, in Nadi Shodhan, there is only inhalation and exhalation, whereas in Anuloma Viloma, there is also retention. This is the difference. But most schools of Yoga consider it to be same.
