As a prior owner of a retail business with some heavy experience with what’s it’s like to be the “provider” of great customer service, let me tell ya….that repair facility is VERY fortunate to have someone like you to document and brag about them. Very FEW people bother to make positive “noise.” We dream about RV ownership and life someday. There are tons of YT vlogs on RV life. Yours is easily our favorite. Thanks for another great vid!

Thanks for the kind words RollTide. I hope what the video's show is that this place understands the challenges of traveling and living in an RV. They understand honesty and trying to address and take care of you issues is a breath of fresh air in the RV repair world we all desire. I do not expect any of this to come cheap. The investment NIRVC has in place ready for me to use when the time comes has a cost. For Sue & I, the most expensive RV repairs have been at the places that really didn't fix it, and I had to have it done again!

You guys have really helped me out when it comes to deciding whether RV’n is something I really want to do. You provide the necessary details on what it means to RV from a maintenance standpoint. You’ve opened my eyes and I’m going to say it’s not what I hoped it to be. EVERYTHING cost so darn much money I can’t imagine how people can afford RV’n. My mindset before watching your videos was that it would be cheaper to live in an RV’n and travel than it would to live I a house and travel. There is a lot to consider for sure….thanks.

We definitely wanted to open up folks minds to the reality of Class A Motorhome Travel. It is really straining our budget. A DIESEL TRUCK & 5th wheel is way more bang for the buck and cheaper. A fifth wheel with a GAS TRUCK is even more economical. But those are a very different style of travel. Everything has trade offs. Once a person can identify the RV Style that fits there pocket book, study up on those youtube channels that share their expenses and how much that style cost! Good luck buddy. The service techs did a great job in finding your water pump leak. We had a hose leak repair/breakdown 20 miles from our destination on our last trip. Fortunately we found a good repair shop local to our destination that had roadside service. Their shop made the hose and made our destination with only a 3 hour delay. Another Wanderlodge coming to the rally had a water pump leak and was repaired by the same shop the next week. Sorta unique that the same two models of Wanderlodges got repaired by the same shop in the same week, and both were water pump/hose repairs. Even though we keep our coach serviced stuff happens. Really appreciate your channel. You show the true ownership experience. Again thanks so much from this long time subscriber.
@OurJourneyInMyles Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the great comment DLT. Sometimes we feel we show too much repair work on the channel, but we honestly can't exclude it. We want folks to know that you and your travel partner need to be able to accept all the "stuff" that happens along the way, and in the end, it is all so worth it! But it cannot break the budget or you will hate it. Matching the cost and level of equipment you RV in to your budget is the best thing a person can do!

Every experience we’ve had with NIRVC from sales in Lewisville and service in Nashville has been excellent. Brett leads a great team that truly cares about its customers

Brett Davis, the CEO of National Indoor is a smart and compassionate man that leads his management team to focus on delivering unwavering professional care and service for all his customers equally. The ones that bought from his (6) nationwide stores, the folks that bought from private sellers, and the ones that bought from other dealers that are not doing the job right. These sprawling facilities are quickly becoming "RV Mecca Mother Ship's" that are allowing all the full time and part time RVers to get repairs done in reasonable time periods, with facilities on site to hook up at. They are striving & working to become 24/7 operations to totally eliminate any anxiety about choosing the full-time RV Lifestyle. Soon, they will ALWAYS be open to take care of you night & day.

So glad to hear from you!!! Question: Did you have to have the windshield removed? Did it break? How much? Did you put in the same model/cu. ft. size/brand? How old was it? Any symptoms along the way? Would really appreciate me & our viewers learning something here!
@michaelzaprzalka Жыл бұрын
Story begins sitting out at the picnic table near Sydney, NS. I heard some beeping which turned out to be the smoke alarms inside. When I went in the coach was full of electrical smoke (was an electrician) so I turned off everything and opened windows. As it was just the fridge motor we got lucky except for the soot now covering every surface. Bought a small dorm type fridge and started back to OK. NIRVC was great with communication which we started during our trip south. Took two+ months to order the fridge and windshield before they gave me a date to bring it in. You saw it about the first week it was there. SO to answer your questions: we elected to have the windshield replaced as it had some pitting. Not sure how old it was but why not. I do not know if they broke it removing it. We had two choices of replacements with no cabinetry needing to be heavily modified. DW picked the bigger 26 CuFt one. It does stick out about 4" more than the last one. I am the third? owner so my guess is it was the original and about 16 years old, minus the time the coach just sat around in storage. Luckily we had purchased RV Warranty when we bought the coach and it was completely covered, almost $12k otherwise.

For us here in NJ we’re all excited about their new Washington DC location that just opened. We only have Cummins in Harrisburg PA for chassis service. And they’ve taken good care of us and our Newmar Kountry Star for 12 years. Still, having a NIRVC facility close to NJ is a dream come true. Thanks... excellent overview of this NIRVC location which is also the original and corporate headquarters. We store our coach (2015 DS) here and we live only 5 miles away, so we are there often. Sorry I didn't catch you there. You had a choice for the water pump repair in that Cummins has a Coach Care facility just 14 miles west on I-20 from Premier's location. The Cummins shop is excellent too as they are a Coach Care Facility. I'm not sure of overnight facilities at Cummins, so Premier may have been the better option while on the road. Looking forward to the continuation of the 60K service and water pump episodes in case I encounter the issue. Again, thanks.. I love these episodes as it keeps me informed as to issues and resources as our coaches are mechanically the same.

Great video of the maintenance needed to keep our Coach’s in top shape. If I am not mistaken that NIRVC is now on 7 days a week 12 hours a day schedules for service and repairs. The Lawrenceville, Georgia NIRVC is also on that type schedule. The only two places I take our DS is NIRVC or Freightliner. As you know I live in Central Florida so my nearest NIRCV is in Lawrenceville, so yes some planning is needed. Can you replace your diesel boiler for the tankless electric hot water heater. I don't know, I am watching you guys.
@OurJourneyInMyles Жыл бұрын
I do not think you would ever want to do that. The folks that buy these things do not like when they have had too many features changed to NON-OEM equipment. The Oasis Boiler is a handy and awesome, versatile piece of equipment. We have NO PROPANE on board, so the water heater needs to be diesel for boondocking. In winter, the Oasis is also our furnace. A regular water heater would not have enough BTU's to heat the coach. For heating, the Oasis is ten times more powerful than the water heater function.
