Adam Jensen Vive could absolutely just let you map things like that without a tracker. Assuming you don't move your keyboard around, Vive could just let you set your controller on the keyboard, map it once, and never need to worry about tracking it again.

I picked up the G513 Silver Edition (which is Tactile keys only) a few days ago, and I can say it's the best keyboard I have ever owned. Butter smooth keys, great looking, wrist rest is perfect, RGB looks nice and no light bleeding. The extra keys and puller they include is a really nice touch.

I just got my G413 two weeks ago, and I'm extremely happy with it. It looks classy - and they kept that look for the G513 as well. I don't care about RBG at all, and am too ignorant to spend time researching the different kind of switches they offer. However, as I paid 65 bucks for the G413 I don't think it's reasonable to pay 100 more just to get an armrest. And the thickness of the threaded cable might be a little bit awkward for some people.

I bought this keyboard almost 2 years ago but have had 2 replacements since. Logitech have stopped manufacturing the tactile and linear switches because they somehow break the LEDs after a few months of use. I loved the tactile switches but was forced to accept their GX blue clicky switches instead.

This is exactly what I have been looking for. Have put it on my to buy list as soon as I saw it a week ago. No media keys (never used them or like them) Clean, minimal and simple design. The key´s are not "sinking in" to the keyboard body. RGB back light. And I actually like the Romer G better than Cherry ones.

I just picked it up and it’s my daily driver. I picked it up for just $119 on sale at Best Buy. Before I had a refurbished k95 platinum which was only $100 and Ik it’s classified as the “best gaming keyboard” but I love the quietness and the feel of the g513 tactile switches. Also it’s so clean and simple. The k95 I felt like it had just way to much on it.

Included wrist rest is nice but except of new, linear variant of Romer-G (which I don't care about, Tactile is my game), there is no difference from G413. I own both variants of G413 and no, G513 isn't gonna replace them, not for this price. If they have new GX Blue switch option, I would be interested.

Personally I own a romer g switch keyboard and love the switches, but that’s what I started with. The are nice and fast but the tactile bump on the tactile switch is very minimal to the point that it almost feels linear but it seems the slight tactility is recognizable enough for me to be much more precise than a linear switch. The only downside I really see to this switch is how scratchy they are. The feel as if the housing was coated with paper towels. They feel pretty scratchy but only on the edges and at the bottom. They feel pretty squishy too and the bottom out feels like squishing a paper towel too but they somehow work quite well if you can get used to them. In addition there are a lot of cases of the switch stems or housing cracking. These are replaceable but are tricky to fix if you don’t know what you are doing. Although it has some jarring weaknesses, they are my favorite switches for gaming and The minimal travel distance makes the scratchiness less noticeable and the sound is amazing. There are way worse keyboards out there and this is probably the most worth it if you plan on gaming. As a gamer, the scratchy ness didn’t bother me at all but the squishiness took a bit to get used to but as a mechanical keyboard enthusiast, this keyboard cannot match up to many of the unique switches out there but for someone who only wishes to play games, go for it, it’s my go to for gaming and most likely that won’t change for a long time.

The mount is to put it on a friction arm in case you have a mobile setup for like photo editing so you can check pics on the monitor between poses

I use Romer-G's at the office and as a person who does data entry for 10hrs day - I find a significant difference between my G413 and my K70. I've used Blue, Red, Black, Romger G, Razer greens and I can say that Romer-G's are my favorite. I average about 12-15WPM faster than using the reds with less keying mistakes and that alone from an efficiency standpoint at work is huge. They did take a couple weeks to get used to but I wouldn't change them out for anything else I've used.

I've had the G410 for 11 months and I ALWAYS made a mistake while typing. It's just so easy to actuate thanks to the really high actuation point. So my AVG WPM was like 10 down from now that I've got a Cooler Master MasterKeys Pro L with Brown switches. I do prefer Romer-G for gaming but for typing I would absolutely prefer something with a lower actuation point like at least 2mm.

I have it similar. My workflow is typing, typing and typing, and I prefer light, short travel tactile keys. I used to O-ring my MX Blues to make them shorter but after G910 and G413, I use pretty much only Romer-G switches. Also, Logitech's quality is amazing.

Can you please give me a suggestion which of these two keyboards I should get either the logitech g513 with the gx blue switches or the bw elite with the new razer green switches? From my point of view I think the gx blue switches sound better but the stability of the new razer green switches is better. The razer's cable is also much more stable than that of the logitech keyboard. But for that logitech WASD has extra gaming buttons. So I wanted to ask you which one you would recommend to me.

Yeah it is a bit pricey. You can buy 40$ off brand keyboards from off amazon that will be competitive with this. I bought a Rottay keyboard for around 40$ and its great. It has lights and all the same features minus the USB pass through which i wouldnt use nor does it have a threaded insert for what ever goes in there.

I'm looking into this keyboard. It's like perfect for me only I'm questioning whether I really should get one with media keys or just go for this one. My current keyboard, that I've had for over 10 years now (G15v2), has media keys and I'll be honest I hardly use them, so I doubt it would be a real miss but still, it's like why aren't they there in the first place? I guess it's to keep the look of the keyboard clean.

Frank nice video, very explanatory, as always. One thing that caught me off-guard was the transition to the starting video that you have done, first let's clear right away, i don't say i didn't like it, but the sudden change of peace, still shock me a little while i write this comment, i mean i think your intention was to caught the attention of the viewer, but for me it was like a change of your chill peace type of video, if you know want i mean. In fact i was expecting 'til the end of the video for some edit or one clip, i don't know, to completemented that transition and that searching for that thing was bothering me a little during the view. I don't wanna mean that was a mystake, but maybe try something a little bit slow and not so "explosive", or try to speed up the tempo of the whole video, i don't know i am not a video maker like you, i edit when i have time just for fun. With that said, i wanna make clear for the last time what i said at the beginning(for possible hater that could comment ahahah), this is my opinion on that specific part of the video, i understand that someone, maybe frank himself, could disagree with me, i share this thought because, as i said, was bothering a little during the view. And know for the knowledge of who read the entire comment until now i was typing with a keyboard with cherry blue so with my bloody ears, thank for the time wasted and keep it up frank ;)

So I just bought the keyboard, and I think its a really nice keyboard, but there are a few things that I really don‘t like: 1. After pressing a key, there is a echoing sound by the spring 2. The wrist wrest ist nice, but its not as soft as the ones from Razer. 3. After the Game Mode was on for some hours, it just turned back off again. 4. The onboard Memory is only for the RGB Lighting. So if I use the option to switch the F-Keys to the media buttons, I have to open the Logitech Software every time just to activate the function again. And after several hours, the function to switch the F-Keys to Media Keys just turns itself off. So I have to open the software AGAIN. So here in Germany its 179€, and I think that is a bit too much. And I think I‘m gonna switch to the HyperX Alloy Elite RGB. The only thing that would let me switch, is that the Gamemode turns itself off after serveral hours and that the F-Key to Media switch function isnt safed to the onboard Memory. Restarting the software every time just annoys me. I hope you understand my English, I am from Germany. Bye!

To be fair Frank, if it did have the media keys, it would just be a very slightly improved G810 (added cable channel, USB port, VIVE tracker mount, etc) The improvements should be added to the G810 though

Don’t get a board with romer gs. They are mushy and pingy. Cherries aren’t great either but still better. Gaterons are best when it comes to consumer ready keyboards. This isn’t only my opinion, but also the mechanical keyboard enthusiast one, too. Take it from the people who know what they are doing.

tactile has a clickly/bumpy feeling once you activate the key, so you'd know when you pressed a key down. A linear key does not encompass those qualities and it requires less force for the key to activate, so you can press a key twice without knowing

Microphone mount. The 1/4 inch hole is for a Mic. Or anything you can mount to it. I did see a package on amazon for the keyboard with a Yetti Blue and Mount.

hey anyone know where to get replacement keycaps for this keyboard? My F key kept popping off if I didn't press it right in the center and to no one's surprise one of the feet broke. I've been looking online and looks like no third party sellers support these switches :(
