Ravens and Steelers is the best rivalry in the NFL but both teams have respect for each other. It's just tough football. The Bengals were known for their dirty players (yes Pittsburgh had some bad plays too) like Adam Jones, Burfict, their coach couldn't even control his own team. As a Steelers fan I respect the Ravens. The Browns are whatever. Don't hate them or like them. The Bengals are a joke

fishyy ? Oh I know. The difference between Baltimore and Cincinnati is that when Baltimore hurts a Steelers player both teams settle down and realize it's just a game. All the playoff games they have had between one another and even games in the last couple decades have been tough smash mouth football but they were fantastic games by both sides. Cincinnati on the other hand tries to hurt people and when they do they taunt and showboat. They would of have a good shot at going far the year Burfict knock out AB. That team looked good but of course both Burfict and Jones would rather hurt players and act all gangster than actually win the game.

He was stood up by 2-3 Bears and not going anywhere and we all saw the other Bears defender running full speed from 10 yards out and went straight for the head. Rugby player here. The tackling in your sport is insane - with what we now know about concussion and spinal injury you REALLY need to get a grip or the sport will die. What parent would want their kid to play a sport like this? The new rule changes don't go nearly far enough. There is a model you can draw on - the tackling rules for rugby are significantly safer. Rugby has its own issues, but it's way ahead of the NFL - every game I've watched this season I've seen multiple tackles that would lead to a 3 month ban in rugby. In the NFL you can tackle a player who's 4' off the ground and send him crashing down onto his neck and it's not even a foul. Do that in rugby and you might get a life ban. You can have a tough and compelling game that doesn't cripple the players. Watch a NZ vs Australia international, for example, and I defy anyone to say that it's not a brutal physical confrontation. But rugby is working hard to eliminate the most egregious dangers. Football needs to take off its blinkers before more young men have their lives destroyed.

its football dude these guys get paid alot of money and they know the risks involved when they sign that contract and no one is forcing them to sign it so if they dont like it then dont play simple as that but if you ask alot of the players themselves they hate these new rules because it ruins the game so keep you rugby crap out of here
@tullochgorum63235 жыл бұрын
@@will-mc2ci The guys in high school and college aren't paid a lot of money, and they make up the vast majority of players. It's becoming clear that a lot of them are experiencing serious brain injuries. You can stay in your macho bubble and turn a blind eye, but you're going to find that parents are pushing their kids towards other games, and colleges and the NFL are buried in an avalanche of class actions. The rugby style rules can add to the game, because instead of a crude collision you have to develop a lot of technique. As I say, watch a top rugby international and then tell me that's it's not an exciting physical confrontation. Safer tackling doesn't need to ruin the game at all.

@@tullochgorum6323 those kids you talk of choose to play the game because they love the game and loving the game they know the chances are high that they can get hurt because kids arent stupid and it has nothing to do with machoness it has to do with freedom of choice if you dont like how the game is played then dont watch plain and simple but to try and force others to change because of your preferences is complete bs and is ridiculous again if you dont like it then stick to the sport you like and let people who like this sport enjoy it

@@will-mc2ci This isn't sustainable: www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/07/25/sports/football/nfl-cte.html. As I say, the game will change or die. The game had to change in the 1910s when the carnage became unacceptable and it will have to change again. I'm sure the neanderthals at the time said the game will be wrecked, like they are saying today. But it survived. When they do start to change, if they want to make it work they should learn from rugby, because they have a hundred years of experience to draw on. One reason the new rules are unpopular is that they haven't been designed well, as any rugby player could have told them.

Pains me literally to say this but the hit by Ryan shazier is a perfect example of how to not dip your head before impact. I know from personal experience that it is very difficult to keep your head up and eyes open but it’s something that is a learned/coached technique that needs to be payed attention to from the beginning of one’s days on the field imo
