I will reiterate that, as Amalee said, purchasing a sample track and then building out your own music from that foundation is pretty common and perfectly acceptable amongst music artists. Writing an entire musical piece from scratch is a daunting task, which becomes much easier if you at least have some kind of template to start from. That’s what one of these samples can provide.

Not at all important but my all time favorite song is Out of Time by the Weeknd, which its entire background track is sampled from Midnight Pretenders by Tomoko Aran. Weeknd did that song major justice and I think both songs are so amazing in their own ways.

While i will have to admit, not EVERY niji fan is a two faced lunatic, some do just stick to the talents cause they truly value them alone...i think ever since Niji started losing its older and more favorite talents like Pomu, Mika, Nina, Mysta and especially Selen...the only ones who stick around are just those who refuse to admit Niji/Anycolor does...really dumb shit and God forbid they see one of the talents make the slightest bad tasting remark Looking at the whole situation with the one girl, Brightshield...i think thats her name...

Kurosanji has already managed to break through several layers of "rock bottom" to the point that the phrase means nothing when applied to them. It's just a matter of waiting until the company is under new management who will make it competent and able to grow again, or it goes bankrupt like it quite well deserves.

I'm of the opinion that Claynosaurz demanded a public apology given the amount of grief Vox caused them as well as Niji filing a copyright claim. Had Niji gone through the level of embarassment would have been very high as they would have not only lost the court case but it would have been something of an international incident as Claynosaurz is a Canadian company

More like they should have gone to Diego first anyway. Wasn't that guy the one who made the song in the first place...? Shouldn't he have a say in what direction the copyright claim for his part of the work should head towards, to some small degree...? And confirm other details such as source to make sure the company didn't end up getting scammed with something ripped from somewhere else somehow instead? Which would have turned up all of that other info that they both sampled from the same source and cleared everything up...?

Well, if they didnt encourage Oshi Tribalism with their structure of popular IP merch wise marketeting being pushed only (Compared to Hololive treating the TALENTS as IDOLS and the fans a community) that they happened to hire a "Liver" for........the Fans wouldnt have migrated out with their Oshi's with Pomu,Selen,Nina,Mysta,and Mika accounting for 2/3 of the Active peak CCV , 2/3 of the "Whales" and "Super Whales" that would do things like travel around the world for live Concerts like AnEx (which Dokis, Mints,Mataras,and Michi's meets were packed at AnEx....so.......)

I was in Japan last week and at the Osaka/Umeda Animate store, i couldnt find the nijisanji merch section (it might've been pushed somewhere in the back). I could only find CDs and concert DVDs in the smaller Animate music store next door. Compared to last year, when Nijisanji Jp/En merch were in the front of the store plus a collaboration with Animate. Definitely Anycolor/Nijisanji are not doing well business wise recently both inside and outside Japan. I think the company expanded way too fast and can't handle the sudden increase in workload and spending.

They hire highschool and College Interns and just throw them into the job with the "sink or swim" model with no supervision (Just Mass firings after Feb 5th-Feb14,2024 of the Interns😹...and probably no credit for school) Yeah, Its a new Semester so Vox's new manager for the semester semester or the new crew in legal/compliance jump the gun Its what you get for $8 an hour with little to no training or supervision (Matara mentioned her Manager was 1/3 her age easy...even Selen mentioned her manager was a kid , same for Michi )

There are some really excellent examples of the same sample appearing in massive songs over the decades; consider Laura Brannigan's "The Lucky One", Bon Jovi's "You Give Love a Bad Name", Bonnie Tyler's "If You Were a Woman (and I Was a Man)", and Ava Max's "Kings & Queens", which all use the same sample in the chorus. Can't imagine being so narcissistic that you hear some music in the background of a crypto ad and think "oh my god they stole from me", tbh

I love when a company as large as Nijisanji doesn't have a *single* person in their management smart enough to "Just talk". They could literally *just talk* to the people, or to the musician who made Vox's song. It would literally have taken less time and effort to send a single email to either party. Or even both parties. The continued unprofessional behavior by Niji talents baffles me. I know that most vtuber companies/groups don't really provide PR training (more understandable for small-scale groups but not legit corps like Niji), and just kinda let their talents be "genuine" in their social usage, but come on. If you suspect another COMPANY - not just another creator, but a whole ass COMPANY - of doing something to cause harm to you, your brand, or your image, you don't just tweet at them like Vox did. Public twitter condemnation should be a LAST RESORT after all other professional avenues have failed. Absolute L.

THEY STOLE MY WORK" Instead...of, oh you know, doing a quick song comparison and asking all parties privately to make sure before publicly making the address of there being copyright bs... It sounds like hearing a brief few notes to make a nod to a song or beat and instantly thinking of someone trying to steal your work...cause they just had 1or 3 notes similar to another song... Kurosanji should've reached out before being a bunch of slapnuts. To be fair though there are times when theft has happened in the music industry though. For instance, Come As You Are by Nirvana is a complete rip off of The Eighties by Killing Joke. Heck, Led Zeppelin have been hit a lot of times for copyright issues. Plus, there are times when the person doing the sampling doesn't do it legally. Look at Vanilla Ice who thought he could get away with using Under Pressure by Queen with the late David Bowie. They do have a point that sampling has been in the music industry but so has theft. Heck, John Fogerty was taken to court by his former record label that he was a part of when he was in the band called Creedance Clear Water for sounding like himself. Oh, I wasn't defending Kurosanji, I just wanted to point out that there are cases where a song was sampled too much than what was agreed upon or was flat out stolen without permission.

dude samples are so widely used. i remember maybe 2016-2018 kpop fans were saying everything ripped off kpop including other kpop songs because pieces used samples from other songs therefore in their minds everything plagarized everything and every producer was a fraud. it was embarrassing to experience as a new fan who understood what samples are. its at least calmed down in recent years as far as i can tell.
