Nice find. You said you would put the value of that cap in the comments, but I don't see it. Did you happen to get that value? Would be much appreciated. Thanks

I think if just that one cap next to the controller ic is short , its usually just the usb on the back

My switch had a broken LCD connector, and I sent it away to get repaired, and it was, but when the technician was putting it back together, the switch wouldn't boot. He said there are no shorts anywhere on the board, is there still a possibility that I could change the cap on the EMCC Board? And if so, did you find the value of that cap? Thanks a ton!!

I mostly work on phones, just replaced the charging port on a switch and afterward it wouldn't boot. The emmc gets very warm when plugged in. Guessing a short on the emmc. Thanks for confirmation that this problem can cause no booting.

Hello, i just had my switch jailbroken and the first technian messed it up, so I checked on another techinian, a certified technician this time. He said that my emmc chip is damage and it needs reballing and the emmc needs to be replace because it is stucked to Nintendo logo with or without sa sd card. Does reballing and replacing emmc will fix ny switch? Please help i dont know that to do anymore.

I wonder if my problem is the same as this, maybe you can help me? So my switch was beginning to heat up quick even when in sleep mode. I had some thermal paste lying around so I decided to replace it. Before all of this, I can confirm the Switch was working fine. After I put it back together, the Switch doesn't detect WiFi signals anymore. It only prompts me to connect a wired internet, which I did do, and it did connect to the net, but the wireless does not work at all. It wasn't my router because my other switch does connect wirelessly. I figured I must've hit something on the Switch I opened and concluded it may be the wifi chip. I may have made a terrible mistake. The EMMC board you're showing in this video is what I thought the wifi chip is, based on a few internet searches. So I swapped that part with the working Switch I have just to test if that's where the problem is. Now both Switches won't boot up. And from your video, I think really should not have done that. I did not know those chips are coded into the CPU. Is there any hope for these Switches now? I'm scheduling a repair soon but if you can tell me what exactly it is needed to be done just so I don't go in there blindly, I will greatly appreciate it!

Did you try a cold reset on the switch 10 seconds holding power button down ? Original parts in both consoles.

You might have to reboot it in a software called hekate I’ve not yet used this bear in mind 😀

@@fuzzyskye Oh. Well I brought both Switches to a repair shop in my country. It seems the damage I did was way more than I expected. They said the thermal paste I used may have causes more problems. It was unfixable so I just sold the LCD for parts. It was my fault in the end. You live and you learn, I guess.

This is the thing with most "techs" they can get good at fixing one device, and learn the common faults .but to me people like mrreeceyburger are very different , and pretty rare. put anything broken in front of them and theyll give it a fucking good go. Proper tech. Much respect

Hello Great video! I hope i can get help from you. My switch wont run big games like Animal Crossing NH, Mario Oddyssey, Mario Kart, Zelda Breath of the wild. It only runs the you tube app and small games like Doom 1 and 2, Tetris 99, and the NES and Super NES classics. Whenever i try loading one of the big games , i get the error code 2002-4153, it only says that the software closed because an error ocurred. I thought the issue was the internal 32 gig memory but i dont know how to repair it. You say if i get a new one i cannot replace it, because it wont work with my Switch'0s CPU? What can i do!?- Have you encuntered this error code before¡? I would love to hear bac from you Thanks congratz again on the great video!
