Got it on sale for PSN. Honestly, it's worth a look. It won't knock your socks off but it's a totally adequate, serviceable little title. It also has a platinum on PS4 as well. Honestly, the Switch REALLY needs a Trophy/Achievement system.

OtterloopB while Nintendo has never implemented an achievement system some of their games have. Arms has Badges, Smash Bros has challenges and in Mario Odyssey you get Stars for some achievements.

The moment I played this game, it does real of indie quality and that childish look, however if you look beyond that, this is a great title very reminiscent of prior games like Mario 64 (select world, select challenge with its own clue, collect medallion. Being honest all those flaws you mention is exactly why I love it, doesn't try to be anything better than a clone and it knows it, but there is alot of fun to be had in filling that explorer book. If you want something better, that's why we have Mario oddysey :) but Poi is a great throwback and reminds me what I love about these platformers.

Great review video, I saw this game at our Walmart, and I was curious. Now, I feel like it'll be a good buy, and most likely I will be getting this game. About Mario Sunshine though, I would love it if Nintendo did a remaster, or a remake of it on the Switch.

I payed 9.00$ for this game it’s pretty fun! It’s not like the most greatest game in the world but for 9 dollars it’s pretty great👍

Got his game for free for PC via Twitch Prime. It's a Mario clone but a good one. Not as good as Mario but still enjoyable. Can't argue with free fun. Main criticism is the lack of invincible period after being hit. This results in life being taken away very quickly by rapid hits.

You talk about it being overshadowed by Mario Odyssey but A Hat in Time also launched two weeks before Mario Odyssey and still did well. I bought day one knowing nothing about it.

Dang, it’s $23 at Target, for me, that’s a bit much for this game. Glad I looked at a review first. I’m a female age 49, started with Atari. I’m into games like Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, etc... I LOVED Kirby but didn’t take long to solve it. Donkey Kong even on easy is to hard for me! They needed an even easier choice. 😄😄 I’m seriously stuck in the game and cannot get past this one level. Hubby is no help he doesn’t like video games except like racing and the board game.

Totally agreed! All of the first party Switch games are overpriced. It's unlikely that Super Mario Odyssey would drop below $30.
