hi I am actual the product owner of NIO Matrix Light and I am very very excited and happy to see you tested our product since I have been followed you for a longtime and really appreciate your professional testing videos regarding Lights. And thanks very much that you appreciated and enjoy our matrix lights. Maybe I can give some explaination regarding some 'Minus points' your mentioned in the video: 1. Our system actually can detect road signs but we decide to not dim down road signs since in many cases we think it is more important to light the roadsigns up instead of dimming down. 2. On Highway, we considering to block up whole left side(similar as some EU cars) and this might happen in later software updates. 3. In the later part of your video you mentiond there is light on and off on the truck rear side but I think it is because of street light(the truck under and then pass by the street light ). We are always open to listen to your feedbacks and thanks!

Thorough and informative test once again, Bjorn! Hats off 👏 We really love our NIO EL6 (the EL8's little brother) and will definitely keep it for quite some time. But, once we've saved up a bit more money, the flag ship EL8 will be acquired, hands down. The NIO's are amazing cars ⭐️

Great to hear. Have you had any issues with the car and service?

If you would like to add more of these standardized tests to your routine, a good one would be autobrake. Just put out some fluffy foam on a parking lot and test cars with cruise control in different speeds.😁 Keep up the good work.👍

Hi, actually, 2024 Skoda Octavia stationwagon (car rented here in Norway) also has matrix leds that block out the reflections from signs on both sides of the road!..Really impressive (at least for me owning a 2011 bmw with adaptive headlights.def not in the same league) Thanks for your great channel!!

Very good, unless it blinds oncoming traffic, or people that you drive behind, just as we've seen. Also on the highway at the 11 minutes mark it was constantly fidgeting around with "blocking out" the nothing that was not there. As well as having constantly changing the cone of light, which I find highly irritating. I understand being excited for new technology, but this is just an example for me that we're not there yet

Thanks for your info. We are investgateing the root cause of some oncoming traffics especially on the highway... and see how we can improve there in coming software.

Don´t understand why so many cars shut down high beams below a certain speed. My Leafs did it below 60 km/h, same with my buddys eGolf. It´s not like you don´t need high beams below 60, anyone who have driven on dark, twisting roads in Norway know that. The only car I´ve driven that actually keeps high beam on, is Tesla.

at 10:48 i think its blinding the van
@colla555Ай бұрын
I think it wasn't blinded. Watch carefully how the beam pattern adjusts some seconds before (when Bjørn still was on the left lane)
@Sheppards1984Ай бұрын
Yes, in that moment you can see the front of the van lighting up

Not financial advice. With Nio stock going up 10% a day soon I will buy es8 ❤

My question is will it blind a car coming the other way? Or is it adaptive
@oijhhytdirhrbruАй бұрын
Apparently it is a matrix ADB headlight, so what do you think?
@nakfanАй бұрын
It would be great if Bjørn could test that in a consistent manner.
@rickross6368Ай бұрын
The big idea behind the matrix headlights is that they can be very precise in terms of where exactly to deliver light. So it should be much better and safer for any traffic around you compared to any other technology

Hi, didn't you livestream a 1000 km. challenge on this one, or you not done it at all?
