One thing I DO give Nissan credit for (and there’s not a lot you can) the lower trim Frontiers are actually probably the only truck that’s a decent value now-a-days and I bet they’re bulletproof. Hybrid is not the solution to Nissan's poor sales volume... RELIABILITY is... people are not going to flock to Nissan dealers because of there are now hybrid cars on the lots... look at all the other car brands that have hybrid cars on their lots??? They're not selling because of poor reliability records... Toyota and Honda are selling cars faster than a bad taco diarrhea can flush down the toilet because they have a consistent and long history of reliability records... So for Nissan to blame it's poor sales record on the lack of hybrid is just a plain flat out excuse.... Nissan just needs to clean up its reliability problems and get rid of all of its CVT's, and it will be on the right track towards profitability

Insurance costs and the fact that insurance companies are scamming to pay less and less on covered claims, using cheap parts (for ex: replacing a factory oem sport strut with a monroe strut from Autozone, with no consideration about matched sets and handling) is enough for me to drive cheap hoopty cars with only liability insurance. 3 cylinder with horrible CVT does not help. Nissan needs to understand that buyers know what they are buying. They know about all the problems with Nissan CVTs and 3 cylinders are timebombs on wheels. The other related issue is camshaft belts that are submerged in an oil bath. This is happening with 3 cylinder European models and they have failed miserably. Many recalls and catastrophic failures. Go back to the 2.5 4 cylinder and they have a 9 speed they can use from pathfinder. Won't buy Nissan.
