I've never found anything that fantastic, but one day i stopped by my neighborhood Karms store and found many, many Jazz/Blues cds. Chess, Prestige, Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, Billie Holiday, etc. Made my day!!

I really wish more rap albums would get a mobile fidelity or audiophile treatment. Only one i have that I know is "audiophile" is outkasts southernplaya But so many albums could be made w the specialist vinyl treatment Ex a GZA live album pressed w mobile fidelity would be sick, GZA has a live band for at least most of his live shows. Big trumpets, snares, whole thing blasting your brain Having that on vinyl would be a dream come true.

Awesome find... Too bad no love for Faith No More "Angel Dust," but I've also read that its not the "best Of the MFSLs." Im just holding out for a reasonably priced Yes "Close to the Edge" MFSL... someday...someday. Keep up the great videos! I'm glad you're not closer to me, I'd surely be more broke than I already am!

"meddle" by pink floyd on MFST vinyl is the one of the most valuable vinyl around
@oliverphoenix15634 жыл бұрын
While it is valuable its def not the most valuable record. Almost every 1st edition misfits record or 7 inch alone is at least double the value of Meddle.

I have all of the one steps released to date. The Nightfly is killer, but Donald Fagen isn’t going to have a bad sounding record. I think Marvin’s What’s Going On sounds great but the edits are horrible, that’s the problem when you have a record that flows across a side; how do you split it for the 45rpm version? I would love to see a one step of Steely Dan’s Aja.
@noblerecords5 жыл бұрын
Anthony Davies yes aja would be a fantastic one step! The one I would love to have is abraxas. Thanks for watching!

Great haul. Congrats!. Just FYI, not sure if you caught it, but not all of those are "Original Master Recordings". As far as I understand If the banner at the top of the cover says "Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab", it's not an original master....Cheers.

Quiet grooves, no inner groove distortion. The way ALL LPs should have been made although I will admit I only had one album-Fleetwood Mac. One of my favorite albums. It still had one sport where there was a loud tick for a couple record turns.

Unless your record is an example of low supply (original volume of pressings, minimal reissues) that is in demand, there are only certain titles and types of issues that will resell for a decent $$ Mobile Fidelity vinyl is in demand. Most for One Step and early MFSL titles you can't buy on Amazon or Discogs. All of the One Step titles are for sale on various sites including ebay, amazon, discogs, kijiji. They are all limited edition and typically the reference or best version of whichever title your looking at. Mobile is kind of slow to release the One Steps. So far the most valuable and best resale is Abraxas. This is one of the best mastering jobs Mobile has done, period. I think they should release more and more often. So those MFSL, Japanese pressings, UK releases of UK artists like Elton JOhn, Beatles, Stones etc.. some rare limited box sets are the where the greatest demand is. If all you had to was sell these types of vinyl issues, you would be selling regularly. Everything else is offered by the mass sellers out there and you have to be willing to ship overseas to really kill it.
