I haven't found anyone else that goes into this much depth to help. Not even my own doctors. I've had specialists, nutritionalists, many consultation after consultation. Many tests, poked and proded, many different medications and supplements and so on. My heath problems, which I've had my whole life, I've come to suspect is because of genetic deficiency of vitamin d and reception. I've watched dr berg for years and I'm so grateful to be given the information to start to finally be healthy and feel better. Thanks Dr. Berg

LONG TIME LISTENER, FIRST TIME CALLER. Dr. Berg love that you are getting inspired by your own genetics to make more videos that are new. I'm on this same path of understanding my genetics. Looking back i can see how there were family members who struggled with certain conditions that were genetic and they never knew and because now I know I have these genetic predispositions. Now that we have the blessing of seeing our own genetics we can alter our enviroment. :) Great video. Vitamin D has to be converted into its active form in the body ( this is not what they measure on blood tests they measure the inactive form). Some genes will lessen this conversion rate. Meaning you might have plenty of vitamin D on your blood test but behind the scenes you aren't converting it to the proper form in order for it to be properly utilized by the receptor. MAG and Zinc are crucial for this conversion process. So if you have genetic predisposition to low vitamin D, or low mag, or low zinc ( yes there's genetics that can affect all those levels), you might not be getting the biggest bag for your buck with your vitamin D supplement. If you haven't looked into Dr. Ben Lynch he has some great videos on genetics and has been a pioneer in this feild of using genetics to guide your medicine, and using food and supplements to correct those gene expressions etc. So glad you are bringing awareness to this bio-individuality part of our care. 🥰 Dr. BERG THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU.

I had a doctor freak out once when I got my D tested..! She said it is way too high and called me telling me to immediately get off my D supplements…, I of course did not get off of them…! I had just finished a course of taking 100,000iu for a week about two weeks earlier. I was very happy to see my levels up high…! I had read all of the studies, non mainstream, on high dose vita D benefits. And I have never looked back, I also stopped going to that doctor because I tried to explain to her and she did not want to listen. I don’t let body mechanics bully me… my body my choice! So unless a doctor is humble enough to listen to my side of things I fire them…! I am happily doing well and take about 30,000iu daily

Boy does it feel like this video was made for me! I've been letting my body guide me (along with educational videos and medical recommendations from professionals) on what feels good to take in supplements, such as quercetin, zinc, K2, fish oil, and magnesium. I take 5000 IU's of vitamin D3 daily, and my blood levels were at exactly 50 ng/ml last I checked. So I assumed I was good. BUT, the more we look, the more we learn about the important details. My autoimmune issues still haunt me, and I'm disabled. So I will look into genetic testing for vitamin D receptors. This is the first possible avenue forward I've had in a year that really fits my circumstances. Definitely worth checking out. Thank you, Dr. Berg!

If I take less than 20,000 IUs of D3 a day, my autoimmune flares up. I tried 5,000 and 10,000 and it flares up the next day every time. Up to 30,000 a day is safe without having to change anything.

Vitamin D levels don't necessarily translate to active vitamin D. What they are testing for in blood tests is the inactive form of vitamin D. This vitamin D has to go through a process to convert into its active form but in order to do that you need good amounts of Mag and Zinc. There are environmental and genetic factors that can deplete your body of both those. So even if your vitamin d on blood test looks good you don't really know if you are converting it properly. The converted vitamin D is what they use in immune therapy for cancer in immune therapy. Just goes to show you how important it is. So knowing your genetics might help you understand if you have a predispositions.

Dr. Berg, I have a couple of specific questions, please. ( Today is 9-14-2023 ). Do you recommend a specific place to have the genetic testing done ? Most importantly, after the testing is done…….did you show the results concerning the receptors to your regular medical doctor…….to prove that the receptor is the problem…….and to maybe get off your case when your Labs show your levels to be waaaay beyond what they typically want ? Or will they STILL give you a hard time……and not CARE what the testing showed ? There are 7 of us in my family who really want to do the testing, but I told everyone to put their brakes on until I came to you FIRST. Thank you.❤️

The radiologist followed me up to my doctor's office ... my chest xray was white. Or he said, perhaps I was too obese for a good pic. I had a slight fever. I was sent for Covid testing. Negative. The doctor did not prescribe any meds. This was the last of January, 2020. I was listless and breathless and dizzy ALL 2020. I could not do anything for five minutes. In December, I began a weight loss program. The doctor prescribed 50,000 units of vitamin D. The next day, the next day I felt energy!!! I called my sister and told her I cleaned on my house for five minutes! Each day, I could go longer.

Hello. You have helped me much with constipation and V B1. I have A. S. Angolosking Spinalitiust, cant spell to save myself... But it hurts a lot. I have done an ok job keeping flare ups at bay, I also have Irightius, and my sinus headaches are gone, but I am now taking 4-6,000 IU of V D, waking u, with each meal, and before bed, as well as cut as much sugar out as possible. Eating a lot of brokiloi, carrots, cucumber, red peppers, beef patty, and eggs, washed down with blueberries, pears, or apples. Really change my life. Sinus 98.9% clear, throat mucus almost gone, No back pain no inflammation, no soreness, no discomfort at all. I was on Ibprofin 20 years ago, 9 pills a day, for 8-10 years. I went to Dr, 2 year later I was diagnosed with A.S. after blood work, and X ray. OMG the process took forever. I said get me off these pills, he said here take these pills instead. I left never went back, never took his pills. All this time it was the sugar, and my Low D, that allowed fungus to take over and try to kill me.
