NORTHSEAKAYAK - Sea Kayak Training Camp 2019 - Puck, Poland

This time we were asked by Jacek, who lives in Gdynia (Poland), to lead a SKTC over there. Jacek is an enthusiast sea kayaker and he saves no effort to promote and build up the sport in Poland. This was a unique opportunity to meet new people over there, so we said yes! The SKTC was held in Puck, a small town in the bay area. As usual with our SKTC formula, we could arrange things as we pleased, and we were fully supported by Jacek and his crew. We welcomed 19 participants and I could appoint 2 assistant-instructors to help me out. We made some new friends and got to share our knowledge and skills with others. It’s was an honour to work with such a motivated team and I’m sure our paths will cross again.

Nice video for beginners. Re-enter and self resque in flat water. It would be more nice if You show the same things in raw water (in 1,0- 1,5m waves and wind 7- 10 m/s) including pumping out water from cockpit and putting on your spray skirt using both hands - the real situation when capsizing is possible.

Thank you! 👌😊 We gave the advise to all participants to build up there skills for rougher circumstances. We always start at the basics, there were even some instructor-level participants with already a lot of experience who had learned new things during this SKTC. Also, for rougher we have to limit the number of participants for safety reasons. But, every thing that you have seen works great in choppy conditions. Cheers!😊👌👍
