After installing the ceiling in my shop I spent the next two weeks adding a 40amp 220 service and a new heater. The week after that I ran air to my mill and lathe.
With all of this work completed I will be able to work in my shop all winter and make it possible to produce videos on a regular basis.

It will be different working in a warm shop. Not having to run an air hose all the way across the shop when I use the mill or lathe will be nice also. Jere

There are so many that come here that my cat ignores them completely except when one sticks its nose on the window and looks in the house. ;) Joe

I'm in the middle of nature and I love it. Warm is good. My brother has a propane topper in his garage. I've read that they pump out a huge amount of moisture. His garage is old and has an uninsulated floor so it's wet anyway. I'll be curious to see if you find any rust occuring. I'm looking into one of those cheap diesel heaters.

Two things that come to mind about air systems, and plastic pipe or PVC. The problem is not in the fittings or in the pipe, but in fact the glued joints. Perhaps in the past number of years they have resolved that issue and I’m not aware of it, but it was in the past the weak spot. Additionally if you have quick disconnects of the pneumatic type that are prevalent in automotive shops, everyone of the female connectors do leak. A good test is too immersed one hooked up to a pressurized hose and put it in a bucket of water. Obviously the answer, of course is to shut the system off at the compressor if possible when you are done for the day. Good to see you in videos again.

I looked at a lot of air/PVC videos and saw that all of the problems you mentioned are true. I also watched how a lot of plumbers worked the joints and found that holding the joint together for a short while and a quarter twist prevents the joint from sliding apart before the glue has a chance to set. I keep a leak check bottle on my tool box and use it once in a while to check my complete air system. I'm looking forward to working in a warm shop this winter. Jere

@@jerekirkpatrick2092 You get a lot more done in a warm shop and you’re more eager to get there as a result. It looks like you might be able to benefit from a ceiling fan that is set to blow the warm air down at a very modest speed. Let’s face it the best and warm air is up there. If you have the opportunity check and see the longevity of the glue joints at that kind of pressure. I know some of the PVC tubing will yield at 800 psi but many times people want to run 175 psi all the time and of course it is tubing for water, the manufacturer probably only tested it twice the working pressure or a little more. Safety is the only concern I would have and that’s why I mentioned it.
