I'm glad you promote ACTUAL superfoods, unlike mainstream media that claims compounds in plants will make you live forever. Where did you get the information on the nutrients in these foods? I don't think the USDA is a good source for this (ex: they say there is zero vit C in meat because they don't even measure it) and I want a reliable database. Also, how do you think caviar compares to salmon roe?

Thank you so much for talking about nutrient bioavailability. I think that's the kind of information that most people are missing when they're learning about foods and trying to decide which ones are actually healthy and nutritious. People get too caught up comparing numbers of this and that without questioning if the food would be a part of our natural diet.. or considering anti-nutrients. Awesome content as always ❤️

Beef liver tip: If you have always hated beef liver but haven't eaten it in years, try it in a restaurant. That worked for me, it was delicious, and now I make it at home. 😊
@singinggrass1874 жыл бұрын
Hooray! We’re eating all 5 of them, but not sure we’d go for adding salmon roe! I love beef liver, but my hubby doesn’t, though he recognizes the great health benefits of it. My solution is to first chop the liver into bite-sized pieces. I then crisp-fry enough slices of thick-cut bacon to equal about the same amount of liver, break into large pieces, and set it aside. I then quickly fry the chopped-up liver in the bacon grease, but only until it barely loses it’s pinkish inside. Toss in the crisp bacon pieces, give it a stir to combine and serve it immediately, while piping hot. Wow! Hubby gobbles it up with delight, as did my 4 kids when they were growing up! I used to sauté chunks of yellow onion along with the liver, but don’t now, as it’s not exactly keto-friendly. BUT, a big dash (or 5, according to taste😂) of dry granulated onion adds an additional delicious taste that renders the liver and bacon combo even better! Worth a try for anyone who doesn’t care much for, or really dislikes, the taste of plain liver, but loves bacon (and onion flavor)!😊

Great video as always 👏 Id love to know where thymus, brain and bone marrow are on the vitamin range. I personally eat 3 slices of lambs liver twice a week and I can't understand what people find objectionable about the taste. I leave it to room temperature before I cook it and just fry it on the pan for like 20-30 seconds on each side, it has a very neutral minerally flavour to me. I've never tried beef liver though so I can't speak about that.
@singinggrass1874 жыл бұрын
userillusion86-Wow! And thanks! I love lamb, but have never tried the liver. I’m curious as to where you buy lamb liver, please. FWIW: I love using Lamb tallow to air-fry lamb chops medium rare, and doesn’t compete with the delicate flavor of the lamb chops. Also, since lamb tallow has a surprisingly neutral flavor, I can use it with other meats, and nobody says a thing, even those who dislike the flavor of lamb!

Hi, it might be good to start with a typical cell and what it is composed of. Example the outer layer is a lipoprotein, so fat and protein. Also you might also add amino acids into this as it’s the basic building blocks of a cell, most of which you get from a simple egg, then there are the essential vitamins that your body can not produce on its own. Hope this helps you make another video.

I think it is important to note that eating oily fish (or the liver of a non oily fish, like cod), should be consumed in moderation! Due to pollutants being fat soluble, there will be some levels of pollutants in them! It has been concluded for now that the benefits of eating them outweighs the disadvantages, but there is still a recommended upper limit. For girls and women it is recommended to eat no more than 200g of oily fish per week! I am not sure if 1 gram of cod liver equals the same of 1 gram of oily fish, but my guess is that it is pretty much the same. Regardless, if you are consuming both cod liver and oily fish (like sardines), then I would take a look at how much it adds up to be.. If it's above 200g, then maybe switch it out for some non oily fish, like cod, instead. I love that you are comparing the serving sizes! It is so frustrating when the only option is to compare 100g, makes it very complicated having to go back and forth comparing different foods😅
