Supplements can be great for increasing testosterone. However, overall diet is far more important in the context of improving overall testosterone levels and general health. There isn't a ton of research on the relationship between food and testosterone, however, there is much to be inferred from what we know about specific nutrients that are required for overall testosterone production. In this video, we will walk through some of the most promising foods that have the potential to increase testosterone production.

Please continue to do that and not “dumb” down the channel ever, in fact make it smarter. There are a million dumbed down supplement/health channels

Hey can you do a video on different supplement/vitamin companies and also which ones to trust and what to look out for? It’s sometimes tough to feel like your getting good products when they vary so much, and the you get horror stories like some supplements are found to have mercury or pharmaceuticals in them.

Great stuff! Mostly keto friendly foods too! Regarding the hormone panel tests, unfortunately I live in NY state, and they don’t allow home tests. I got a referral from my doctor and my insurance covers all of the ones I requested (total testosterone, estradiol, prolactin, cortisol, TSH + free T4.) next time I’ll ask for free testosterone, shbg and LH in addition to these. I’m gonna call on Monday to see if the results are in. I’m sure they’re going to need a lot of work, because I’ve got a ton of weight to lose (about 80 lbs of fat to get to my goal), I’ve got a lot of stress etc

Honey is good before a workout but I wouldn't use it before sex as it would temporarily lower the androgens needed for "performance." Although it does help to raise Nitric Oxide, the fructose lowers insulin which is needed for optimal arousal. You want that insulin in you during that time. Beef and rice, then wait 2 hours and you're good to go.

@NutritionLibrary
@NutritionLibrary 2 жыл бұрын
eggs are better. APGC is good, but I don't think it is best longterm because of it intermediary nature in choline synthesis. Whole food versions are always best long term. Choline bitartrate isn't as potent as AGPC but it is better long term and can be used by the body for other purposes as well.

Does consuming meat during your day provide enough EAAs for BCAAs to be effective? Doesn't nutrient timing come into play, due to the body not storing amino acids?
@cnsgains5506
@cnsgains5506 2 жыл бұрын
Nutrient timing mostly comes into play for athletes who are working out 1-2 times per day because they need to replenish in between workouts so that they don't burn out. For the average person who exercises 2-3 times per week nutrient timing does not matter much. As for meat it takes hours to be assimilated and broken down so your window of available amino acids is quite large
@NutritionLibrary
@NutritionLibrary 2 жыл бұрын
good question. I agree pretty much with the previous comment. Nutrient timing can make a difference, but not as much as one would think. The reason I don't like BCAAs and the like is because Whey protein can be used for the same person. it contains super high amounts of EAAs and is cheaper.

Are your vitamin D levels also actually low? Even if you were insanely low in the range I believe 20k IUs a DAY would be toxic in a relatively short amount of time

The more I learn about beef nutrition, the more confident I become in my belief that God put cows on Earth specifically for us to eat. Dumb, slow, delicious, and jam packed with all the nutrition a growing boy needs!

The only way beef can be high in B-12 is if the animal eats grass not grains. The B-12 comes from the soil which gets into the plant which in turn gets into the cow then us. Research B-12.

I think you need to instead focus on the outcome studies instead of mechanistic data. There's a big difference between what should and what does happen.
