My order of 15% lugol's came yesterday as I was watching this video. Took 2 drops this morning. I dont know if it's a placebo effect, but I felt so charged. Like I was on high doses of caffein, but without the jitters and racing thoughts. Without the elevated heart rate. Just calm but energized. And my body was warming up after my meals like it was supposed to. Usually I have rather cold hands and feet and a core temperature of 35.4°C on average (95.7°F). Today I'm warming up without effort. It's really great

@@lmyers9999 I have honestly put a stop to using it bc 1) it fixed my temperatures pretty much without having to keep taking it every dsy and 2) it really amps up the metabolism and if you dont start eating accordingly, you will feel very strange. I was pretty happy with my calorie intake and I'm one of those weird people who dont enjoy food enough to really actively try to find ways to eat more without gaining weight. So it fixed a lot and then I kinda didnt need it anymore. I still take it if I feel like I'll be coming down with a disease or if my temperatures drop again

I have been taking 25-50mg per day since March. It's made such a difference in my life! Gotta add the salt, though! Dr Brownstein's book was very helpful. So thankful for this info! My husband, daughter, and I were sick and lost smell and taste a few weeks ago. However, it came back in about a week. I am convinced it's our iodine consumption that helped us heal so much faster than anyone else we know. I have friends who were ill at the same time and they just can't get their smell and taste to come back. None take iodine.

I had my thyroid panel done yesterday and started taking iodine drops. I'll go back to the doc in 2 months to see what happens. My doc wasn't supportive, but told me she could only reccomend what's been medically proven and that if I'm taking a natural path approach, that I should look into a different doc who's more knowledgeable about it. It's hard to find a good one, but I'll get started of finding one.

Could it be detoxing flouride from tap water or showering/ bathing and detoxing bromides or halides and not the iodine itself? I learned those unhealthy halides take up the receptors and have to be pushed out which makes ppl feel yucky, detoxing feel terrible but it allows the iodine to be absorbed and do it's job to protect our bodies from absorbing the bad halides, so it could just be a detox reaction.

What your body doesn’t need of Lugols, you will pee out. I would throw out everything else and stick with 5% Lugols. At two drops a day, it would last you about 300 days. 10 cents a day. That’s a great deal.

@@MacGregor9488 If you haven't found any still, J. Crow is Dr. Bright's recommended brand. They have 5% bottles, but they apparently sell them only on their own website, 30$ a pop. Otherwise, it's very easy to make yourself and far cheaper, if you remember even a little bit from your high school chemistry class. You just need distilled water, pure potassium iodide, and pure elemental iodine. Mix them together is a glass jar in the correct proportions to yield your own 5% solution. Then put the jar away in a dark spot for 24 hours. Done!

2 drops is maintenance dosage, as in if you're thyroid is already healthy and well-functioning. If you're iodine depleted and you thyroid is messed up, you'll likely need more than that for awhile. And those 2 drops are of 5% Lugol's solution. 2% Lugol's has less than half the concentration of iodine, so you would need to take more than double the amount if that's what you have.
@AJH-ke4lj
@AJH-ke4lj 5 ай бұрын
I started taking Lugol's 2%. Yes, I was concerned at first it might be too much, so at the start I took only 1 drop of Lugol's per week. But in a few weeks I realized the day after I took 1 drop, I felt better compared to other days. So I began taking 1 drop a day and it was good as far as I could tell. I am not strict about having a drop every day. I will skip a day here and there if I don't feel like drinking as much water that day, because I always put the drop of Lugol's into a liter of water so if I don't feel thirsty enough to drink water, then I don't worry about missing the iodine that day. I am carnivore and I have diabetes.

I don't think the answer is carnivore, at least not permanently. The blue zone centenarian people who live to be over 100 are eating low meat.. Like twice a week on average. Iodine is fat soluble so that might be why it appears to work better with carnivore, as virtually all meats have fat. But you can for example just squirt some healthy olive oil on some lentils and then add the drops of iodine.
