Tavares was 'tone deaf' to the American market: (1) America isn't Europe--two very different markets, (2) when you've got a product that is a hot seller [Hemi V8], you don't throw it away, and try to replace it with a supercharged, or turbocharged six-cylinder engine, (3) no one in their right mind wants an EV---overpriced, under performing, and a rolling fire bomb. @goobcutusofborg33572 күн бұрын
That would be true, it will lower the resale value since most people don’t want a car that’s that loud. Also, he likely does have the original exhaust on it since he lives in California and they have very strict noise pollution rules.

Soooo, I cut the mid mufflers and left the resonators on most of my chargers and challengers and I actually loved the sound and felt it wasn’t too crazy. But, I haven’t removed them from this car yet. Just haven’t gotten around to doing it and I’m trying not to piss off all of our new neighbors too. And yes, the dealers don’t like taking them on trade when the mid mufflers are removed, but a muffler shop will take them off for $150 and put them right back on for another $150. So just keep them and put them back on if you sell or trade in the car. I had one dealer just ask me to give them the mufflers so they could put them back on and they took my trade in.
