Hi Olaf! Thank you for your video - I just discovered it. The orient attribute for copy instancing is poorly documented, still today. There are a lot of good Houdini tutorials out there nowadays (so different from the early years where learning resources were scarce). But you have a good sense of humor, and you take your time, which is more relaxing for viewers than having to pause the and rewind every 30 seconds to fully digest the denser materials in other videos. I too love Houdini. I first used its version 1.1 in 1997, but then almost never had the opportunity to use it again as my work took me to other packages. But the whole time, I missed it and now I spend some of my personal time picking up knowledge where I can. I will watch your other videos! Thank you again!

Hi Malcolm, I really appreciate your comment. Thank you very much for the kind words. I think the @orient attribute and its uses are ultra cool. I dont mind using math and vex, but for geometric transformations using @orient it can be much more intuitive. I plan to do more about that soon(ish). And please keep commenting i really dig that. You made my day. Regards Olaf

I started studying houdini this month, and with the version change, some attributes do not work very well in this new version. So this material came at the right time to help me. I'm sorry for my english.
