I am so happy to see that people are educating themselves on the topic and not just listening to the propaganda of the American corporate media that would label people as antisemitic for for doing their research

Great review as always! That book is one of my favorites, small but powerful! Btw, have you watched the 5 hours long debate between Filkenstein and Benny Morris?

Thank you! No I saw clips from that debate and it looked terrible.

Thank you for your book reviews @StephenHeiner. Chomsky's magnum opus on Israel and Palestine is his earlier work Fateful Triangle: The United States, Israel and the Palestinians. I hope you read this work and do a review on the text.

Thanks for your interesting reviews. As you mentioned, Ilan Pape is backing for a single secular egal-right country on historic Palestine, but he is not the single one, and one of the most vocal backers of this option is Miko Peled (ex-IDF officer, top IDF general's son, and if I am not wrong Isreal architect-founder's great-son). You can read his book The General's son (but I guess you already have a long pile to read), or just watch his conferences and interview (e.g. at EU institution or at CIPI Cuba), where he develops this one secular egal-right state solution which can make sense in a way

I’m reviewing Milo’s book in about 8 weeks. I didn’t mean to imply Ilan is the only one. I know Gideon Levy is onboard with the idea as well.

@@StephenHeiner sorry. I was not implying that you said that Ilan Pape is the only. I didn't aim at undermining your fabulous work. As I am not a English-native speaker, I don't use correctly my words. Actually, I meant Peled as a suggestion with a similar political goal as Pape. But you have already thought of it way before my comment

the truth is seen in the small details; You assume, just like the Marxist writers you quote, that Israel is a racist society. When you enter Israel you see public signs in 3 languages, Hebrew, Arabic (the language of the enemy) and English. When you go to the Palestinian Authority territories there is not a single sign in Hebrew. When you are in Israel you see many people who are Muslims, but when you go to Ramallah or Nablus in Palestine you do not see a single Jew in those places. You don't need to be a PhD to see what is obvious, which nation is really racist, LOOK AT THE SMALL DETAILS.

lol you really don’t know the history of the region or the conflict. You just have some talking points that you regurgitate.

I know the attitudes of the Israelis because I have spoken to IDF soldiers in Jerusalem. I have watched the Israeli youth on Jerusalem Day. You really have no idea what you’re talking about. Do some reading before you attack people on their political persuasions instead of facts.

Why would there be Hebrew signs in the West Bank???? No Jews live there because they prefer to live in their fancy illegal settlements. Not because of your alleged “racism” The ONLY reason Muslims are seen in Israel is because they work there or because they were not forced out in 1948. It isn’t because Israel loves them. As Netanyahu points out, Israel is not a state of all its citizens. amp.theguardian.com/world/2019/mar/10/benjamin-netanyahu-says-israel-is-not-a-state-of-all-its-citizens www.npr.org/2019/03/11/702264118/netanyahu-says-israel-is-nation-state-of-the-jewish-people-and-them-alone

Imagine showing up to a YT comments section attacking authors and then being unable to counter a single point the authors make.

@@StephenHeinerAny idiot can talk to anyone. BUT WHAT COUNTS MORE THAN ANYTHING ARE THE FACTS. When you have a society, like the Palestinian one, that executes and celebrates the worst massacre of innocent Jews since the Holocaust and STEALS THE BODIES OF ITS VICTIMS AS A TROPHY AS THEY DID WITH THE SEMI-NAKED BODY OF SHANI LOUK, definitely neither you nor they have salvation. ; You are part of that depravity, that decadence, that immorality. THAT'S WHY I AM 100% sure that the Palestinians are doomed to failure.
