Sweet Potato over pumpkin pie any day!!!
INGREDIENTS
5 medium sized sweet potatoes (they are not yams people)
1 stick unsalted butter, melted
3 large eggs
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup dark brown sugar
1 cup granulated white sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp kosher salt
2 deep dish 9" pie crusts

I did receive some pointers like baking the potatoes as opposed to boiling them and poking holes in the bottom of the pie shell, BUT I, most of the times, make my own flawless pie crust and my pies have the best flavor that you can still savor long after you’ve finished eaten the pie. No brag, just facts.

He had a beautiful spread including sweet potato pies and that was the first time tasting one with ginger & allspice in it along with the regular spices.. cinnamon, nutmeg. It was really delicious & I had asked him what he had put in it besides his foot? 😋😂😂😂He had said, he put a pinch of ginger & allspice in it, spices his grandmother & his mother used to use in their pies.

I looove sweet potato pie & I used to make lke 15 for Thanksgiving 😮 Now I make about 5. Always gotta have a lil homemade whip cream. We do the sweet potato pudding in Jamaica 🇯🇲. I don’t use measurements, it is done by sight it comes out good all the time. Grate sweet potato Two green bananas I small piece of yellow yam 1 coconut blended and juice save to coconut trash/ flesh Brown sugar Vanilla, Cinnamon Nutmeg Half to 1 cup flour Mix all ingredients together. Taste Pour in a grease baking tin put in an oven at 400• Bake for 40 mins depending on size push a knife in the middle if it comes out clean then it is done. If not, return to oven for 20 to 15 mins on 250 .

Yea they take a good minute to bake. Maybe it's the eggs that help set it up quicker? I don't use eggs and it takes every bit of at least 45 mins and I cook at 375
