The second lady that comes in at 7:07 is Chrissy Costanza, leadsinger in the New York founded rock band Against The Current. She actually blew up with her band after the massive lockdowns happened just a few years ago now. When they released theyr first lockdown song "Weapon". But she recently posted a picture of herself with a golden record behind her, where she was open about her younger self was way too hard on herself, and way too much "on the fence" in regards to being confident in her being good enough to achieve things in music. And how much her award was thanks to her favourite game for years and years,as she did League of Legends -Legends Never Die "soundtrack" back in 2017 for the Worlds finals, and the devs liked her soo much that they invited her back in 2019 to do a duet with Cailin Russo with Phoenix. Chrissy has been a huge gamer for years, she plays together with Alan Walker (Music producer and DJ,both of them had theyr breakthroughs by simply being KZbinrs publishing theyr material, hoping to get discovered) AverageJonas (ex professional Overwatch player, now a freelance commentary, streamer etc) No matter who she plays with, she says its simply her hanging out with friends, there are no egoes in play, they just goof around and have fun. She has 2 main games she has streamed for years, and that is League Of Legends and Valorant. Thats how the developers heard about her,got in touch with her, became a fan of her band and BOOM,her dream of "monster hits" became a reality. 8:04 That is actually Chrissys own trademark move, you will see on every tour with Against The Current. The developers were aware of this, both in 2017 and in 2019 and they wanted her move in the choreography both times. Dreams can come through when you got developers behind a game you have loved for years, that loves you just as much. That move has its own emote on twitch, she has called ChrissyBend 😁 I have been in her community since the lockdowns happened, thats why i have some "inside information",as i support her and ATC as much as i can,and stay updated. Even talk abit with her in between. At New Years Eve in 2019 the developers had a show in China, where they wanted Phoenix to be performed. I think Cailins schedule made it too difficult for her to make it,so far away. But Chrissy upon being asked said: "Sure, ill be there!" And she carried that song all by her lonesome. We who support her have heard alot of hate on her (typical online stuff, hating just to hate... mostly out of ignorance etc) Chrissy has also been hard on herself for many years when she was younger, and she still has days when she fights her own mind,so i see myself in her alot. Being your own worst enemy at times, stuff like that. So we tend to take the fight for her,and try our best to buff her confidence up whenever we can. Chrissy rightfully says that shes not the most powerful singer out there (i do think alot do underestimate her though,as her co-vocalist on Phoenix,Cailin, calls her a powerhouse),but her performing Phoenix alone quickly became my favourite version of that song. And what puts tears to my face,is to see her quick looks into the crowd....and everywhere she looks, the crowd is going off vibing to her performance, and we who know her well by now,see that it ignites a spark in her eyes, and she just owns that song from thereon out! "Chrissy Costanza - Phoenix (Live in China) [2019 NYE Concert]" Chrissy is an absolute sweetheart of a personality. Imagine you been streaming for hours and hours, vocal chords are probably tired from talking ingame and to chat, then someone enters chat and asks if you can sing Legends Never Die and Phoenix? What does Chrissy do? "Chrissy Sings 13 - Phoenix & Legends Never Die". She starts singing, while casually slaughtering other players in Valorant on stream lol. And what if 1 person comes in towards the very end of that same stream, when shes defintly worn out and you can both see and tell that shes really tired? Here is what Chrissy first responds with and then does: "Chrissy Sings 18 - Phoenix" If you are curious about wich songs blew up her band during the pandemic,2 of the videos are actually made as follow ups/sequels after one another. Against The Current - that won't save us [OFFICIAL VIDEO] (This song also has a acoustic version with a video, and a performance version of the official video, myself i prefer the performance version,it will still give you a "cliffhanger" at the very end, wich leads into a sequel) The sequel and i think still till this day, theyr biggest hit to date: Against The Current - weapon [OFFICIAL VIDEO] (This also has a stunning official acoustic version,i recommend all of them, because this band is seriously versatile) They followed thoose 2 stunning hits, with theese 2 just last year: Against The Current - again&again (feat. guardin) [OFFICIAL VIDEO] & Against The Current - jump [OFFICIAL VIDEO] There is also another stunning collab in regards to League Of Legends, this time for LEC (League Of Legends European Championship Series). Where they have 2 other hopeful artists with them, wich gives the song both rap and singing vocals, LEC x Against The Current: Wildfire l 2022 LEC Spring Promo. Did i say the devs love Chrissy and ATC? I know im seriously late for this reaction, but i just recently discovered that so many had reacted to Chrissys and ATCs LOL songs.

Moments like this are the validation of a lot of our childhoods. I get the emotion, man. For so long, gaming was looked down on as something for children. Those of us who took that as a hobby early on had to endure a whole lot of people telling us that games didn't matter, that you could never go anywhere with them, that they were a waste of time. This is our proof that those people were wrong. Gaming has blown up in a huge way since I was a kid. These guys aren't just kids playing computer games - they're professional athletes with multimillion dollar contracts, sponsorships, celebrity acclaim in their home regions. They're treated like rock stars. It's amazing to see people who dedicated their lives to something get recognition for being good at it, and Riot knows how to go all out. Every year they top themselves and come out with some crazy new technology, incredible performers, and just ridiculous amounts of hype around their tournaments. It's an experience unlike anything else in the world. It's like a sporting event + concert + comic/cosplay convention all rolled into one.
