As a former strength coach I love what you said “well volume adds up.” Sometimes it can be very tough to convince clients and athletes of this simple but very true statement.

Man I've been dorsa flexing all this time. I didn't even notice your foot pattern for this last year or so. Just tried it with my feet flat the other way and I feel all kinds of good stuff happening. Always learning something new here.

Tim, I love the rocking and squatting. You may have already made videos of these ideas. I call the first one The Ice-cream Scoop or Digging the ditch/trench. It is where I scoop down and forward as if I am a shovel and then I toss the dirt from the trench/ditch into a pile to the right. I repeat it to the left. Or, I scoop out the ice-cream and toss it into the bowl to the right, and then to the left. The second one I call the Snake Weave, which is like the side ways rocking without scooping down. The stretch is more to the side to the 3 o’clock position compared to the forward and to the side as in a one o’clock position. Then reverse back. I love your inspiration in helping people free up their bodies and explore their own physical creativity. Thanks again. Raymond from Melbourne, Australia. 2024-04-01

Hey Raymond! I don’t think I’ve made a video of the first movement you speak of but I do think I’ve made one of the second! Thank you so much for your continued encouragement. I enjoy reading your comments and advise/experience! 🙏

After watching, started my session w/ a 10 minute warmup for my back, then did 10 pushups, 20 rocks, and 10 b/w squats for 5 circuits, taking about 8 or 9 minutes (not rushing.) It got me more than ready for weight training, plus, I liked it.

Great video Tim, I was wondering if I should be fully squeezing glutes at top of the squat? Thanks 😊
@OriginalStrengthSystem
@OriginalStrengthSystem 6 ай бұрын
Yes. Maybe. It depends. It depends on your intent, focus, and load. If you’re doing bodyweight squats you don’t have to but you may want to if your intention is building connection and awareness. If you’re doing very heavy back squats you may want to in order to give your body more tension and support while under the load to protect your spine. If you are just moving efficiently and all things are reflexively connected as they should be, then there is no need to. So it really just depends on you and your intentions. Hope this helps somewhat.

Tim, where do I start? I would like to be able to go from zero to hero in OS. and do your daily 21's incorporate OS? I see some wonderful variations and advanced rolling and rocking etc Is there program you have that would take one from beginner to these advanced variations in OS?
@OriginalStrengthSystem
@OriginalStrengthSystem 6 ай бұрын
Hey Ted. You’re already a hero my friend. But I get what you mean. Os is heavily steeped and incorporated in my Daily 21’s, yessir. If you are familiar with the resets, and you’ve a foundation of performing them, I do think you would be capable or moving towards the Daily 21’s. If you’ve not been pressing reset or if you’re not familiar with them, then the book Pressing Reset: Original Strength Reloaded is probably the best resource. Here’s a link to that: amzn.to/3RTg7zj. If you want to read about the Daily 21’s, the book Discovering You goes into those. Here’s the link to that: amzn.to/3TXb97n. If you get to the point where you are proficient at the Daily 21’s but you want to reach even further, The Becoming Bulletproof Project will take you there. Here is the link for that: amzn.to/4aW230E. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

There are two ways of rocking which you have not covered. One way is to pull forward with arms /hands will resisting with the legs. Then overcoming the arm pull and pull back with legs. Then there is the complete reverse of this. You effectively use two different muscle groups for this.
