In lazer since you can have offcenter spinners this is entirely possible with use of multiple spinners at the same time at times. Still might be lack luster compared to the other 2 objects but might still be a fun experiment to try.

i actually loved your streetlight manifesto slider map. absolutely the best song by them to map in only sliders, and it introduced me to the band. a lot of unique flows made it fun and the lack of anxiety from accuracy was nonexistent, you just had to keep the flow of the sliders to maintain accuracy

IMO swaying from the gimmick of the entire map can work as a form of emphasis. Ending with just a circle instead of a slider would make it stand out very naturally, which makes for a good climax.

The worst gimmicks in osu mapping: completely inconsistent spacing and timing with the same patterns and music (breaks intuition), extreme overlapping density requiring a special skin just to be readable (especially sub AR 9.5), short/fast sliders that require a longer press to get both ends during a kiai or high BPM maps (fuck mapping for DT players, because these don't require longer presses in DT), abuse of slider ends for eliminating half of the click leniency (slider end -> circle on quarter beat that's far in excess of anything else in the map difficulty wise), making otherwise unreasonable jumps to abuse slider leniency, gigantic spikes in difficulty in one section of a song (especially the end) in an unwarranted way (unfitting of difficulty name and star rating, fuck you sotarks, you're a hack), unexpected extremely high velocity sliders with beats in them causing instant combo breaks (you can't sightread SV, shit like this is horrendous). That's just a few of them. I really wish BNs just put things in a "nominated" state, not ranked, and if a map becomes ranked, all scores/pp from the nominated state will carry over, but maps only reach ranked with a sufficiently high number of plays (requiring the top 20 to be at or very close to 100% to automatically DQ maps designed to have slider end misses or extremely awkward beat timings that can't be tapped rhythmically, it's a fucking rhythm game guys) and a high enough player rating to meet the criteria of "good" for many people. That then brings on another, and perhaps the biggest problem in osu: ratings happen after you finish a map, but if 90% of people play a map through, realize it's complete trash and immediately delete the entire mapset because it's the same trash, it should count as the lowest possible rating, because that's exactly what an instant delete means. Hell, doing a map 15 times because it's designed to be unreadable or intentionally combo break only to realize it's not fun because the mapper is a fucking idiot, BNs are retarded, and QAT doesn't care about quality should definitely be reflected in the rating of a map, and honestly a sufficient number of these should just drop a map from ranked back to nominated or into a DQ state. There are a lot of great mappers and a lot of great maps, but for every single great map there are 10 that are bullshit intended to be gimmicky for unrecognized (by osu's algorithm) difficulty or intended to abuse the PP system, and not one of those should be ranked. Loved sure, but never ranked.
