Instead of margarine/butter, I use nuts/seeds blended with water...so for 2 T margarine, for example, put 2 T cashews in measuring spoon and fill spoon with water in the spaces between the nuts. I usually blend this with the wet ingredients OR make a larger batch in a small blender container and freeze the rest by tablespoons in ice cube tray.

Hot Fudge Pudding Cake: I grew up in the Montreal area. There was a boxed cake mix to make this. Haven’t had it in …dare I say it… decades! As I recall, there was a chocolate and a lemon flavored mix. It was a rare treat in our house (Mom only made it once or twice a year). Gotta try this version.

Silken tofu instead of butter for the smooth texture and creamy feel

For the pudding, instead of the vegan butter, I would add soaked macadamias, with the whole pudding blitzed in the Vitamix. Macadamias are the fattiest nut so they would add that creamy texture and a subtle but delicious flavour.

Thanks this is great and I’d love part 2. I’m wondering if you could use PB2 instead of the vegan butter? Peanut butter and bananas is a great combo and this w up old be lower fat.

No need to soak. In the machine it's roughly 3 cups of milk to 2/3-1/2 cup of (whatever). When I used to make it in blender it was 4 cups water to 1 cup (whatever)

It makes sense - but most of the books are ones we hadn't tried before, so there's only one or two that would qualify for it. This could be a conversation we could have in a Mighty Network thread if you want to start one up in there! :)

The girls just about died when they heard their names, had to rewind it twice 😂 totally perplexed Question. I’ve been doing the yogurt like the plant pure cookbook suggests recipe wise which is how I think you also do it, except in the IP. Do you find your homemade yogurt gets a little grainy? I’m wondering if my IP yogurt setting is too hot.
@pbwithjeremy3 ай бұрын
I'm so glad they heard it!!! What are you making the yogurt from? That could be the cause.... Do you know the temperature it's cooking it at? Should aim for between 110-115 F

My mother use to make this in the 1950’s. You can also substitute lemon for chocolate. She would stir the Cocoa into the boiling water then pour it over the top of batter. I think it came from the Betty Crocker cookbook.
